The Marketing Manager, Quarterly Planning will focus on delivering profitable growth for Fido through the planning and development of strategic marketing programs. This person will be responsible for the planning of quarterly campaigns, monitoring performance of these campaigns and when needed, developing new action plans to deliver results.

This is the ideal job for a candidate who can manage multiple tasks, works well independently and in a cross-functional team, has strong project planning experience and likes a healthy balance of strategy and execution.  A strong focus is placed on analyzing and understanding internal consumer & business results as well as market factors to form a recommendation.

Reporting to the Fido Marketing Director, Planning and Execution, this person will be an instrumental part of the team that is accountable for delivering on customer acquisition, net additions and revenue results. The Manager will work with a cross-functional team that will execute and deliver on the plans throughout all consumer channels.

 

What you will be doing: 

  • Identify priorities and objectives for each quarter that align to longer term goals
  • Use past quarters learnings and consumer insights to develop strategic marketing programs to achieve acquisition and net customer addition targets
  • Work closely with the commercial strategy and pricing team on offers and the broader cross-functional team to design the quarterly execution calendar
  • Brief quarterly campaigns and ensure brand plans and consumer messaging align to quarterly objectives and that campaigns position Fido as the Brand of choice in prospective customer’s mind
  • Stay informed/educated on the competitive landscape, market conditions and consumer insights and evaluate new marketing opportunities to be included within the plan
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the execution of marketing plans / programs and oversee the implementation of the quarterly plan
  • Ensure end-to-end execution of plan occurs flawlessly, on time and on budget
  • Own, understand, monitor and track results against business objectives for owned programs, identify trends, and provide recommendations on outcomes
  • Forecast weekly and develop action plans to drive results if shortfalls exist, such as gap plans, contingencies or competitive responses
  • Coordinate post implementation reviews and input into detailed quarterly post-mortem on results
  • Develop a deep understanding of the consumer and maintain a "customer first" lens when planning and executing programs

 

What you have:

 The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • A team player, able to work well independently and in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Self-starter with proven track record of developing consumer and business analysis and insights.
  • 5-7 years marketing experience with large organizations. Telecommunications experience is an asset.
  • Strong analytical skills and proven experience working with Excel models, data visualization and reporting tools.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral for presentation purpose.  Working magic with PowerPoint is key!
  • Project management experience and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • University degree -preferably focused in Business/Commerce, Marketing and Strategy.
