Senior Manager, regional plan delivery (Québec)

The Senior Manager, regional plan delivery (Québec) is a newly created role and is pivotal to the success of the regional strategy. The incumbent will be an active member of the Regional Executive Team (RET) and will, conjointly with the RET, drive, lead and own the execution of the regional plan in QC while ensuring alignment across regions.  As part of the mandate, this person will be influencing and leading the engagement with both internal and external stakeholders (Regional executive team, key external partners such as Board of trades, media influencers, universities to name a few, as well as interacting with key ELT members and senior leaders ). Moreover, this position will be leading a local cross-functional team to support the plan delivery: corporate communication, brand activation, sponsorship, community social responsibilities, retail execution and R4B marketing.

 

Here are an overview of the main accountabilities:

Drive, deliver and own the QC Regional Plan:

  • Drive the execution of the regional plan as it relates to each business units by working collaboratively across the organization
  • Preparation for ELT reviews
  • Organize and execute monthly RET meetings including setting the agenda, gathering content from RET members, assemble presentations, and following up on action items
  • Create internal RET branding opportunities and events and represent RET in external events
  • Be the key point of contact with the regions on their plans, support requirements and escalations
  • Build strong network / relationships with key business leaders in each region
  • Successfully deliver the plan activities and strategy

 

Internal communications & external engagement (incl. social media) :

  • Manage social media platforms (ie: regional Yammer groups and email distribution) and craft communications on behalf of the RET that illicit engaging responses from our employee base
  • Build and deliver a solid internal and external communication strategy and plan (Yammer, Webpage, executive panel, executive speaking engagement, conference, press releases, etc)
  • Create content, including developing contests and giveaways, highlighting career opportunities/promotions, award recipients, and communicating upcoming events via appropriate media channels to deliver on the Rogers aspiration to become the employer of choice and win the heart of the Quebecers
  • Lead and coordinate the Rogers ambassadors program and the +/- 20 ambassadors cohort
  • Drive membership, viewership, activity, and engagement via social media platforms (ie: regional Yammer groups)
  • Develop methods to measure and analyze the impact of communications and initiatives (ie: survey) and make recommendations to adjust
  • Manage the delivery of engagement activities and events and linking these with our existing sponsorship partnerships where possible
  • Organize ELT visits and agendas to include regional departments
  • Deliver on external branding opportunities and represent Rogers at community grant cheque presentations, etc

 

Performance management & Measures of success :

  • Identify best practices from other regions and adopt locally
  • Maintain and analyze regional scorecards and provide regular updates to RET on market trends
  • Adjust the plan accordingly in order to deliver tactics that bring success
  • Manage the regional budget
  • Assess key levers performance in order to deliver the plan (ex: brand activities, retail performance, stores traffic, etc….

 

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate in business (commerce, marketing, brand certification preferred)
  • More than 10 years of progressive experience in a similar role
  • Bilingual
  • Deep understanding and knowledge of Telecom industry, competition and market landscape
  • Deep understanding of all lines of business and strategic plans and how to lead an integrated operating model ex: understanding regional plans across the country, CBU, MBU, R4B, Frontline, HR, Corp Comm, CSR, Network, Sponsorship, etc
  • Commercially savvy
  • Strong Project management experience
  • Proven organizational, planning, analytical/ critical thinking, facilitation skills
  • Strong communications (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Strong sense of initiative, self-starter who can work well independently and as part of team
  • Influence without authority
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Experience in budget management and building/maintaining KPIs and dashboards
  • Ability to navigate and collaborate in matrix organization and build relationship at all levels
  • Advanced  skills in PowerPoint and presentation building
  • Advanced skills in Excel and social media management
