Job Responsibilities:

  • As a MDU Representative – New Construction you will be responsible for increasing the number of active subscribers and product penetration in assigned New Construction MDU (multi-dwelling unit) properties by selling and promoting Cable TV, Hi Speed Internet, and Home Phone
  • Displays thorough and recent competitive knowledge of features, benefits, product differences, pricing, and campaigns.
  • Attract residential customers to purchase Cable TV, Hi Speed Internet, and Home Phone services at special events within New Construction MDU buildings.
  • Establish and maintain strong and positive working relationships with property management Board of Directors and leasing staff to leverage their support in booking on-site events and maintaining an overall Rogers’s presence within the buildings.
  • Ensure that Rogers products and services are presented to all prospective residents of the building and that the penetration rate, in targeted buildings, is increasing.
  • Proactively follow-up with customer and property staff as appropriate regarding sales, product, technical or customer care issues.
  • Leverage existing internal sources of sales leads as well as identifying new sources of opportunities for sales through referral and lead generation programs with property management companies and their staff.
  • Document, submit and track sales orders in a timely manner.
  • Obtain and provide local market intelligence and feedback to management team to be filtered to Marketing.
  • Provide residents with an excellent customer experience.
  • Manage and attend frequent on-site events in order to generate subscriber growth, drive customer acquisition, awareness and interest in Rogers products, bundles and offers at the property level.
  • Meets and exceeds established sales goals including net gain, market share and penetration.
  • While onsite and/or present in New Construction MDUs, actively listen to customers, uncover/analyze their needs, and offer customized solutions
  • Create a need by educating customers on product & services, and maximizing sales potential
  • Contribute to a sales team environment, constantly driving continuous improvement in programs, practices and procedures.
  • Continually work with the Team Manager and other AE’s in driving real-time program changes: optimize programs, create program efficiencies, improve sales conversion, and drive superior customer satisfaction.
  • Using effective relationship building skills and probing abilities to successfully close a sale
  • Attend onsite events in order to build relationships with tenants and/or purchasers, provide information on Rogers services and generate current as well as future sales opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Completed high school diploma or higher
  • Valid Ontario Driver License
  • Available to work on a flexible schedule: days, evenings and week-ends to meet customer demand
  • Possess superior multitasking abilities
  • Must be computer literate: strong keyboarding and internet navigation skills and basic arithmetic skills required
  • Strong listening and communication skills, professional telephone manner, and ability to deal with customers tactfully and effectively in a fast paced, ever changing work environment
  • Must be punctual and committed to work schedules
  • Demonstrated ability to positively influence others
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve in a time pressure environment.
  • Able to meet and exceed sales quotas
  • Must be comfortable working in a highly structured, sales driven environment
  • Have a motivated and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Take appropriate action to efficiently resolve issues
  • Take accountability to solve issues from beginning to end
