We're looking for a Master Control Supervisor! 
This position coordinates functions and processes within the Toronto Master Control department of Rogers tv, as well as being the central point of contact with internal and external clients. The Weekend Supervisor is one of two TMC Supervisors and will work a condensed week with afternoon/evening shifts Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Reports to: Sr. Manager, Operations & Atlantic Region

What you will do...

  • Coordinate the transmission, routing, and ingesting of program and traffic assets with Scheduling and Rogers tv affiliates.
  • Set-up and oversee special feeds to external contacts such as City News, OMNI, Sportsnet, CPAC, etc.
  • Assist with preparing and updating workflow and training materials for TMC Operators.
  • Co-ordinate the booking and execution of live feeds (studios, mobiles, Dejero).
  • Assist with maintaining the daily feed schedule (regular feeds from affiliates of program and interstitial material).
  • Co-ordinate outgoing feeds of program and interstitial material to Rogers tv affiliates.
  • Track the time and attendance of Master Control Operators, and monitor their performance.
  • Assist with the training and coaching of Master Control Operators to guide their development.
  • Work with Operators to ensure the daily task list is completed. Prioritize tasks as needed.
  • Follow up on Incident Reports to ensure resolution.
  • Assist with maintaining content on the archive system.
  • Assist with developing and refining operational processes.
  • Perform the duties of a Master Control Operator during portions of each shift.
  • Related assignments as determined by the Manager.

What you will bring...

  • Core Competencies:  Customer Service Orientation, Teamwork and Collaboration, Adaptability and Initiative.
  • Role-Specific Competencies:  Innovation/Creative Thinking, Problem Solving/Judgement, Achievement Orientation, Listening, Understanding and Responding.
  • Very experienced with broadcast automation software and processes.  
  • Ability to work to exacting standards and handle multiple, competing deadlines.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical situations in a broadcast automation environment.  
  • Demonstrated training and coaching skills.
  • Experience in Television Broadcasting.
  • Excellent computer skills including spreadsheets and file management.
  • Knowledge of videotape and video file formats, aspect ratios, and audio and video monitoring equipment. 
  • Strong administrative skills.
