An exciting new role has been created in one of Canada’s largest markets at KiSS 105.3, and we want you to be the trail blazer!

We’re looking for an enthusiastic broadcaster to be our new breakfast show producer, working with Sandra & Chris.

You’ll need to be passionate about creating content, able to work as part of a team and willing to do what it takes to ensure every voice break is as prepped and prepared as it can possibly be!

Opportunities to work in a VECTO market alongside some of Ottawa’s most respected broadcasters don’t come up very often – seize the opportunity!

This role reports to the Content Director and is based in Ottawa, ON

What you will do…

  • Support the production of the morning show to ensure it advances its position in the market place.
  • Do what it takes to ensure that every time the show open the mics, they’ve got everything they need to execute their content.
  • Ensure the smooth day to day running of the morning show inclusive of all elements like news, commercial activity, promotions, imaging and content.
  • Organise all scripts, sponsorship elements and daily information required by the talent
  • Manage the breakfast show’s digital and social content; responsible for ensuring digital content is updated frequently and is of relevant and interest to the audience.
  • Support the ideation and execution of content for the morning show; be part of the prep process.
  • Brainstorm with the promotions team compelling concepts that satisfy the interests of the customer, the audience and our brand.
  • Work with audio production to ensure the morning show has all recorded audio elements needed
  • Be available for remotes and promotional appearances.
  • Brainstorming compelling concepts that satisfy the interests of the customer, the audience and our brand.
  • Be open to feedback and guidance.  You know there’s always another level to reach.
  • Be eager to learn; you’ll receive support and growth opportunities to build your career with us.
  • Deliver great voice work for our commercial producers & passionate about supporting our commercial initiatives.
  • Voicetrack shows as necessary & directed.

What You Will Bring:

  • Energy and enthusiasm to help you wake up at the new early hours you’ll be working
  • Creativity to generate ideas to contribute to the team.
  • Ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines
  • An understanding of social media
  • Experience with Wide Orbit Automation & Vox Pro or a willingness to learn it quickly!
  • Flexibility to record shows as necessary
