Rogers Sports & Media is building a Project Management Office to drive execution of key strategic initiatives and is looking for a Senior Manager, Media PMO to chart the way.  In this role, you will establish the Media PMO including processes, methodologies, and best practices.  You will lead a team of Project Managers and collectively deliver world class oversight capabilities for all assigned initiatives.  As a key member of the Strategy, Data, & Partnerships organization, you will also be a change agent by helping teams evolve rigor around execution, transparency, and accountability. What you will do:

  • Set the direction for RSM’s project governance and leadership structure. Garner support for the project management standards from the executive sponsor and steering committee and ensure these stakeholders have representation within the project governance organization.
  • Define, implement, and ensure adherence to sound project management disciplines, including the development of specific and detailed project plans in a standard format; clarity of roles and responsibilities for all project participants.
  • Partner effectively with multiple teams across the entire organization including technology, product, data, procurement, finance, legal, and business development to ensure alignment and efficient delivery of initiatives.
  • Regularly present status of all strategic initiatives to Media SLT.
  • Build, grow, and lead a team of project managers, supporting all RSM strategic initiatives and other priority projects as required.

What you will bring:

  • Established or helped establish a Project Management Office
  • Recent experience in leading complex technology, digital, or data-centric projects
  • Experience in working with various project methodologies including agile and waterfall
  • Comfort with typical project management toolsets including MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, etc.
  • Executive-level communication and presentation skills
  • High level of energy and strong passion to lead a team of project management professionals
  • Creativity, flexibility and an ability to manage time and reset priorities in a dynamic environment
