Rogers is seeking a Senior Digital Analytics & Monitoring Analyst to specify, optimize and implement the Monitoring and Web Analytics tools and processes for the availability, performance and overall health of our production eCommerce platform (Web and Retail). Reporting to the (Manager, Enterprise Monitoring Tools) at the Rogers Park Brampton Campus, you will effectively deliver the day-to-day operational use of our digital monitoring and analytics tools. This individual will cultivate strong relationships with key business contacts and partners to ensure business requirements are understood and to assist in driving our Operations teams to excellence.

 

Qualifications:

  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science.
  • Five years of experience with Application Performance Management/ Monitoring and User Experience Monitoring products.
  • Possess experience in production support and scalable Architecture implementations.
  • Exposure to monitoring and configuration management for scalable environments.
  • Ability to script Python, BASH shell, and PowerShell.
  • Knowledge of web technologies like JavaScript, Ajax and coding languages like Java and .NET.
  • Knowledge of Application Servers, e.g. WebSphere AS, WebSphere Liberty, and Tomcat (include Spring), etc.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes architecture including key components and AKS/EKS in the cloud.
  • Knowledge on Cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, etc.) and experience with terraform automation is a plus.
  • Must have exceptional English written and verbal communications skills.
  • Structured approach, analytical thinking, and accuracy.
  • Provide guidance, informal training, and recommendations regarding installing monitoring agents for application performance analysis.
  • Assist teams with onboarding to tools including configuration, automation and training.
  • Act as a technical expert in observability, automation, and intelligence using the Dynatrace or similar products.
  • Basic UNIX and Windows administration.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overall Application Monitoring, User Experience Analytics, Log Analytics and underlying infrastructure monitoring, reports and dashboards.
  • Use OneAgent and custom extensions for infrastructure & application performance analysis.
  • Responsible for deploying RUM solutions including configuration i.e session properties, user tags etc.
  • Responsible for all the backend/server side services & transaction detected by OneAgent on DT and its configuration i.e. request attributes, request & service naming rules etc.
  • Provide end to end monitoring infrastructure support.
  • Work with development, business teams to identify key transactions, events & segments.
  • Monitoring and analyzing session data to understand customer behavior and identify site issues that are adversely impacting conversion.
  • Creating alerts, reports, and dashboards to support growing business needs.
  • Provide informal training to end users on the monitoring tools.
  • Assist with using Dynatrace or similar product to optimize application performance and identify performance bottlenecks in web applications.
  • Partner with application development, application support, and other IT infrastructure resources to define measurement frameworks, develop KPI's and performance dashboards.
  • Work closely with development & support teams as required during release rollout and incidents to analyze application performance impact and troubleshoot issues.
  • Implement custom monitors, maintenance windows, overall DT configurations, integration, tuning and troubleshooting.
  • Setup monitoring for Container, Cloud, and Virtual Machine via the APM tool.
  • Configuration of settings for monitoring, services, log analytics, anomaly detection, integration with 3rd party services using API's etc.
  • Create dashboards and charts within the APM platform.
