At Rogers we are on a journey to adopt true agile development processes and we are seeking Agile Coaches to help us accelerate the adoption of agile practices in all that we do. We are looking for strong agile advocates with deep agile experience to help us grow our efforts as we continue to evolve our culture.  In this role you will be working with various Technology teams and functions at Rogers to help them transition into effectively using agile processes.
The successful candidate is extremely passionate about agile process, has a deep hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies. They have strong leadership and coaching skills to help guide teams to successfully adopt agile and remove all their impediments.

What you will be doing...

  • Act as an Agile Coach for new teams to help them transition into Agile
  • Execute our Agile On-Boarding program for new teams
  • Run Agile training sessions for all roles including Product Owner, Scrum Master, and the Team
  • Facilitate Backlog Grooming, Sprint Planning, Retrospective and Sprint Demos
  • Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
  • Help teams breakdown projects into epics and stories to iteratively deliver value to their stakeholders
  • Guide teams to understand and effectively do estimation and plan their sprints
  • Liaise between all stakeholders to foster better communication between the various disciplines
  • Act as a mediator between scrum team and the larger company to remove impediments
  • Train the team on Agile collaboration tools including Jira, Confluence
  • Coordinate with other Agile Coaches to share best practices and accelerate agile adoption
  • Monitor progress and maintain key metrics to track teams progress and communicate it to the team and the company at large


What you have...

  • Experience coaching Agile teams
  • 3 years of minimum experience working as a Scrum Master for Agile teams
  • Deep hands-on knowledge of Agile and Scrum process
  • Strong leadership skills to guide the executives and the team to transition into Agile
  • Excellent coaching skills to facilitate key roles growth to adopt agile practices
  • Great teacher and communicator to run effective training sessions
  • Strong listening skills and mentorship skills
  • Highly organized and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
