Analyst, Audience Insights
Who we're looking for:
We are looking for a skilled Analyst to join the Media Insights team at Rogers Sports & Media. This team is essential to empowering our core brand and product teams with data-driven insights and analytics, driving strategic initiatives across performance reporting, brand tracking, custom analyses, and qualitative insights. As we work through 2025 and beyond, we’re excited to expand our efforts in digital optimization, experimentation, and personalization.
In this role you will be a key member of the Audience Insights team, responsible for ensuring data quality, generating insightful performance reports, and supporting market research initiatives to inform strategic decision-making. You will collaborate with other teams to streamline data collection processes, build & maintain accurate reporting dashboards, and produce actionable insights that will drive the success of our business.
You will support iconic brands like Sportsnet, Citytv, CityNews, and a diverse portfolio of music and news radio stations nationwide to help grow subscribers to our streaming products and grow audience engagement across our digital platforms.
What you'll do:
- Data quality assurance: Oversee the accuracy and integrity of digital insights data across various platforms, implement and monitor data validation processes to ensure consistency and reliability in reports, and collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve data discrepancies.
- Performance reporting dashboarding: Create, maintain, and optimize performance dashboards & regular reports that track key metrics across all digital channels.
- Support market research initiatives: Assist in programming, deploying & reporting for custom ad hoc market research projects using online platforms and craft compelling stories using third party & syndicated research tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Providing actionable insights that shape digital content, product evolution, marketing, and sales growth.
What you bring:
- Proven experience in digital analytics roles, with experience using digital analytics tools like Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics with experience in reporting, insights generation and web analytics.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI, Domo) and linear media tools (e.g., Numeris, Nielsen), and data mining techniques (SQL or Python) considered valuable assets.
- Exposure to market research & online survey methodologies, including survey design and experience using online survey platforms (e.g. SurveyMonkey, Qualtrics, etc.) and using data analysis tools (SPSS, Displayr, R, etc.).
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, including storytelling, data visualization, and clear reporting, with the confidence to present and engage in Q&A with cross-functional teams.
- Strong curiosity and adaptability, thriving in both collaborative and independent work environments.
- Passion for media and for our brands, with a strong interest in staying current with industry trends and audience engagement.
