Coordinator, Original Programming

Who we're looking for:

 

We're looking for a Co-ordinator, Original Programming within our Television organization. Reporting to the Head of Original Programming, the Co-ordinator, Original Programming will focus on supporting the Original Programming department in the administration and synchronisation of the department.

 

The successful candidate will also be responsible for tracking submissions, coordinating team meetings and trackers, as well as creating presentations and assisting in annual reporting. They should be a highly organized, self-starter, skilling in administrative tasks with a background in television and willingness to learn. 

 

What you will be doing:

 

  • External communication with Producers, ingesting projects, ensuring releases are signed and materials are filed, circulated and tracked
  • Maintaining tracking documents and managing status of ongoing conversations, internal recurring review meetings
  • Updating and circulating relevant guidelines as necessary
  • Manage team calendar: recurring team mtgs and agendas including Bi-Weekly OP Team, Legal OP Team and Other
  • Slate tracking: assist in the overall tracking of slate for internal and stakeholder reference re: key information like production dates, post schedules, delivery, filming locations, launch dates
  • Business Affairs support: circulating contracts for signature when needed  
  • Special Project support: when necessary, support team and/or execs on special project delivery (eg. corporate events, presentations, Upfronts) 
  • Coordinating and maintaining internal filing systems, ensuring most up to date templates are filed and orderly, stakeholders have access to up to date synopses, assets, and program information as available 
  • Powerpoint presentation preparation and tracking versions, ensuring team and stakeholders are referencing recent/up to date versions 
  • Assisting in preparation of annual reporting: eg. CRTC, CMF

 

What you will bring:

 

  • A motivated, business-oriented and team-playing 
  • Superb written, verbal, research and interpersonal communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Backgrounded in production or television broadcasting
  • Understanding of production: including technical aspects (e.g. post production, camera); budgets, schedules
