We are seeking a Data Engineering Manager Data Products to help us generate insights, guide decisions and inform our interactions with our customers. Our roadmap has us making significant investments to move our data to the cloud and provide you best-in-class tools for analytics and data science. Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Data Products, the Data Engineering Manager Data Products will be responsible for planning, building and automating data features, products and dashboards that will enable advanced analytics and insights across the consumer Wireless and Connected Home lines of business.  

 

Responsibilities:

  • Collect requirements from business stakeholders around data and data products in service to marketing use cases
  • Develop and automate new data features and products in service to marketing use cases
  • Collect, extract, join and transform data from multiple sources
  • Drive enhanced integration, automation & efficiency around data, reporting and analytics
  • Share best practices & techniques with colleagues to help upskill other members of the team
  • Contribute to shaping the long-term roadmap and plan to evolve data and analytics capabilities within the organization
  • Collaborate and influence across a wide range of business and technical stakeholders
  • Perform ad hoc projects as required to support to support the business
  • This role is an individual contributor role

 

Qualifications:

  • An undergraduate business/commerce, computer science or engineering degree
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in data product or analytics roles demonstrating an ability
  • Experience data product and feature development
  • Strong proficiency with coding languages to extract and analyze data (SQL, SAS, Python)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint
  • Skilled with leveraging systems and customer data to identify opportunities
  • Self-starter with the ability to quickly learn and understand concepts, multi-task, investigate issues, solve problems, promote efficiency/automation, make decisions, manage processes, and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent and proven problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Proven ability to meet tight deadlines, and perform well in a fast paced and dynamic agile environment
  • Proven ability to exercise a high degree of business judgment and sound reasoning
  • Competitive & results driven – both short term and long term
  • Demonstrated strong customer service orientation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; a demonstrated collaborator
  • Technical aptitude about wireless products and technologies considered an asset
  • Strong sense of presence. Confident and comfortable working with senior management
  • Positive attitude + enthusiasm & passion for business is a must!
