We’re looking for a Director, Content Strategy. 

Sportsnet is looking for an innovative, creative and engaging leader to join our Original Content and Marketing team in the role of Director, Content Strategy to help unlock the science behind our storytelling. The successful candidate will work closely with all content pillars and platform partners to provide strategic direction, analysis and insight that fuels the development of world class Content. They will also be tasked with leveraging Sportsnet’s impressive portfolio of rights, valuable partnerships, incredible stable of talent, and new & emerging technologies to innovate and engage our fans in new and exciting ways. This role will also oversee our web content team and the curation & production operations for all of Sportsnet’s Social Media efforts.   

What you will do

  • Build the strategy, tactics, prioritization and workflow to ensure maximum consumption of Sportsnet digital content, including personalization and alerts
  • Oversee the development and curation of Sportsnet social media content and production operations for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok platforms
  • Consult with News & Information teams for digital content distribution strategies across App, web, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and YouTube platforms and coordinate digital content executions between SN & key partners (ie. Leagues, Teams, Athletes, Clients, etc…)
  • Establish KPIs, data insights and engagement metrics for trend analysis and user behaviour patterns in effort to accelerate Sportsnet’s social presence
  • Research and identify trends shaping the major sports markets & industry, our audience needs, and competitive offerings to develop opportunities to improve Sportsnet’s fan and advertiser engagement
  • Analyze & report on audience data via Adobe analytics, Facebook insights, Instagram analytics, Twitter analytics and various services to leverage for revenue growth and sales opportunities
  • Develop new content initiatives and distribution opportunities to help Sportsnet reach new & younger audiences

What you will bring

  • A deep knowledge of all content platforms including the best ways to leverage each platform to connect with our audiences and build our brands through storytelling
  • Experience in end-to-end content development, implementation and measurement

  • Passion and belief in the power of analytics to drive better decision making
