Rogers Digital Media is seeking a Director, SMB Digital Sales, to increase sales against broadcast radio websites and digital products across National and Local markets to direct clients. Reporting to the Sr. Director Local Media Sales, Eastern Canada, and working with radio and retail tv sales team this individual will be at the forefront of creating and driving online sponsorship opportunities, display advertising campaigns and integrated advertising programs.

 

Responsibilities:

·       Responsible for achieving and exceeding digital revenue targets by engaging & motivating radio and tv sales account managers across local markets in Eastern Canada.

·      Responsible for achieving and exceeding digital revenue targets by engaging & motivating national direct and local sales teams.

·      Provide critical insight and feedback to the overall SMB digital strategy

·      Understand SMB competitive landscape in Canada’s digital ecosystem and provide relevant insight and competitive intelligence/analysis

·      Actively promote the sale of all branded digital opportunities associated with the radio stations

·      Own a national direct territory to drive high level client direct national revenue

·      Own the SMB go-to-market sales strategy for all Rogers Digital Media products.

·      Provide updated data and training to the sales teams as it relates to digital advertising

·      Liaise with internal team members and departments, and drive strong collaboration across all business units for SMB

·      Provide sales reports and forecasting to the National Digital Sales Director, Radio division leadership and local sales leadership

·      Manage 3 direct reports and a team of 9+ who service the SMB sales process end to end.

 

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in media, interactive or business-related discipline

•  Minimum 7 years of experience in digital sales related position

• Excellent communication skills (both written and oral), including interpersonal and presentation skills

• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast paced environment

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize

• High level of attention to detail and excellent follow-up skills

• Solid understanding of business professionalism and the ability to work in a team environment

• Strong Computer Skills including technical competence with MS Office - Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Creative Suite

• Proficiency with comScore Media Metrix, Omniture Analytics and DART

• Knowledge of IAB Guidelines

• Experience with mobile is an asset

• Experience with loyalty programs or gamification is an asset
