The Director, Talent Acquisition will be accountable for leading the Technology and Digital portfolios based out of the Toronto office. This position will report to the Senior Director of Talent Acquisition.

You will be working collaboratively with the talent acquisition team, key stakeholders and HR business partners across all regions on our continued journey to build a world-class Talent Acquisition organization.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage a team of Talent Acquisition Managers and Senior Recruitment Consultants who are accountable for filling technical and niche roles with top talent.
  • Coach the team to build effective sourcing strategies, and continually build strong pipelines of talent for critical technical roles.
  • Be an effective consultant to Senior leaders in the business and HR to ensure Rogers hires the right talent into the right roles.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners, Hiring Managers and Business Leaders on defining effective staffing strategies.
  • Partner with HR Leaders to build strategic recruitment plans for Digital & Technology; execute and be accountable for delivering on these plans.
  • Take an active lead on the Hot Skills talent strategy for Rogers; participate on the committee and deliver on TA plans for this program.
  • Leverage your strong leadership skills to drive a high performing team and actively track and review team’s performance based on KPI’s and sourcing metrics.
  • Coach and lead the team to deliver on New Grad and Co-op hiring and play an active role in the planning and execution of Campus strategy for Technology and Digital groups.
  • Manage complex immigration files when hiring global talent; including managing LMIA and Work permit process when required.
  • Stay abreast of key Technology and workforce trends in Canada and globally.
  • Effectively manage external vendors and participate in the selection process.
  • Build an effective social media presence by sharing content and driving engagement through social channels.
  • Manage recruitment for senior level/ Director + roles as needed.
  • Partner with your peer Talent Acquisition Managers to drive new and innovative recruitment initiatives for the business
  • Understand and keep informed on best practice candidate sourcing and recruitment strategies, trends and technology.
  • Measure, track and report on recruitment performance against defined metrics, including Hiring Manager and new hire satisfaction
  • Ensure operational efficiencies by leveraging ATS recruitment technology

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources or business-related discipline
  • A minimum of 10+ years’ experience in Recruitment with a focus on talent, workforce planning and recruiting
  • Must have previous recruitment experience in Technology and/or Digital roles
  • Prior experience leading a team of recruiters with a minimum of 4-5 years in a leadership role
  • Experience with global hiring and immigration process would be an asset
  • Experience with campus recruitment would be an asset.
  • Demonstrated experience in coaching, leadership and mentoring
  • Strong people management, client engagement, and internal consulting skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong business acumen, reporting and power point building skills would be an asset
  • Proven ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong work ethic to meet challenging and changing deadlines
  • Ability to lead and manage special projects at a local and national level
  • Demonstrated business professionalism, respect for confidentiality and appropriate handling of sensitive information
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively and build strong client relationships with senior executives
  • Sound analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills with an ability to understand broad Human Resources issues and resolve conflict situations in an effective manner
