Reporting to the Vice-President, Treasurer, the Director, Treasury , will be responsible for implementation and ongoing management of bank financing, public debt (bonds), interest rate risk, foreign exchange risk, and pension plan financing. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in treasury at a senior level in complex environments. Strong leadership, communication, organizational and analytical skills are needed. In addition, a proven track record of delivering results through solid business partnerships is a must. The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with the Treasurer to determine strategic priorities and will support relationship management with Banks, Auditors and Rating Agencies.
What you'll do:
- Lead public debt issuance and related hedging activity as required
- Lead other hedging activities and associated hedge accounting relationships
- Manage and report on compliance with terms of bank credit facilities and public debt
- Provide support on long term capital structure
- Assist with managing the treasury team
- Manage the treasury needs of the operating subsidiaries
- Lead hedge accounting designation and ongoing reporting
- Oversee US commercial paper program
- Manage relationship with rating agencies including developing financial models to support and forecast credit rating agency financial metrics
- Provide input on quarterly press release, annual Financial Statements and MD&A
- Provide ongoing support to Rogers Bank on treasury related matters
- Lead credit card services relationship management and performance evaluation
- Participate in ongoing cash management and banking activities when required
- Lead equity risk management process and related financial reporting
- Lead pension asset management including performance analysis, reporting to Pension Committee, and monitoring investment managers
- Lead negotiations on terms and conditions of ISDA agreements with Bank counterparties
- Work closely with VP Treasurer on special projects
What you'll have:
- Senior level experience in Treasury management with a focus on financing, and financial risk management required
- Strong financial background and deep interest in Treasury management
- Experience maintaining treasury management software
- Proven ability to create and support new financing and financial risk management solutions
- Self-starter, highly motivated, detailed oriented and relentless in the pursuit of process improvement
- Proven ability to build strong internal and external relationships
- Excellent planning and organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a high-paced / performance driven environment
- University degree with at least 10 years in senior Treasury roles
- CFA or CPA is a preferable
