Reporting to the VP of New Market Expansion, the Director of Wireless Internet will be a strategic partner and advisor to the Service expansion teams and all supporting business units, driving a thoughtful and balanced approach to the strategy and growth of Wireless Internet in new markets. This position works very closely with the Senior leadership team in Service expansion, in addition to all Business unit leaders/teams across Rogers to drive the strategic and operational planning direction-setting process for WI across all planning cycles.


The successful candidate will have a proven track record in strategic business planning at an advanced level in complex environments.  Strong communication, organizational and analytical skills are needed.  Leading and coaching a team of business professionals including the development of key talent and succession planning.  In addition, a proven track record of delivering results through solid business partnerships is a must. 




  • Support and deliver the planning, development, and operating model of Wireless Internet nationally.
  • Leveraging cross functional relationships and expertise within Rogers to ensure business objectives are achieved 
  • Ensure that Wireless Internet objectives are measured and provide guidance to the Executive leadership team on key subscriber performance indicators on an ongoing basis, proactively highlighting risks, and opportunities to the desired market share targets.
  • Be a trusted strategic advisor to our service expansion teams – help envision and plan future work; drive transformation across the org by translating Wireless Internet strategies into profitable business models
  • Provide a lens across all functions of the business to guide sound decision making and strategy recommendations.
  • Provide insights and narrative on weekly & monthly performance drivers.
  • Wireless Internet Strategic planning: Partner with SE product owners to prepare product roadmaps; proactively identify changes in the business and technology landscape, and identify the technical projects & dependencies required to maintain /enhance our GTM plans
  • Satellite strategic planning: Partner with Network and technology product owners to proactively identify changes in the business and technology landscape, and identify the technical projects & dependencies required to maintain /enhance our GTM plans in areas where a satellite solution is required.
  • Quarterly Wireless Internet planning: Lead / coordinate across SE teams in the development of comprehensive roadmaps, prioritize deliverables, identify dependencies, and plan capacity/resourcing to solve core business and customer challenges
  • Performance & Benefits management: Work with SE teams to develop, measure and optimize the performance of SE Business plans; develop strategies that maximize development synergy and capital ROI, reducing operating expenses, and contain costs
  • Evolve SE leadership’s capabilities: Empower SE leadership to deliver planning at both strategic and implementation levels; provide coaching and mentorship to the SE leadership team
  • Planning Interlock: Interlock with Service expansion Planning, Governance, Performance and E2E Delivery teams to increase visibility and forecasting accuracy. Hold DE leadership team accountable on their performance against CAPEX & OPEX targets, KPIs and roadmaps



  • 10+ years of experience in the telecom industry at the management level, preferably in roles related to strategic planning or the deployment or implementation of solutions in the telecom industry.
  • Experience in managing a group of simultaneous initiatives.
  • Completely conversant in collaboration tools such as MS Teams, SharePoint, Confluence, MS Planner, and other MS Office tools. 
  • Strong financial knowledge. Able to read and understand business cases and financial forecasts  
  • Senior level experience in telecom/cable and/or technology-based enterprise products is preferable. Knowledge of telecommunication networks an asset
  • Strong business acumen with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter, highly motivated, detailed oriented and relentless in the pursuit of winning.
  • Very strong interpersonal and communication skills and a demonstrated history of engaging with senior leadership
  • Proven ability to build strong client relationships while being viewed as a trusted and fair source of analytics and support
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a high-paced / performance driven environment
  • Must be able to work in a cross-functional team environment
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, consistently meeting deadlines with accurate and detailed results
  • People manager with experience leading, managing, and motivating a team
