Who we're looking for:
At Rogers, we’re transforming how customers experience Wireline products across our digital platforms. As we expand our digital commerce capabilities, we’re seeking a data-driven Director, Wireline eCommerce & SEO (Search Engine Optimization) to lead digital channel sales strategy, optimize / enhance the buyflows, drive platform performance, and deliver scalable, SEO-optimized eCommerce solutions. This high-impact leadership role is accountable for the development, implementation, and continuous optimization of the end-to-end wireline eCommerce journey from awareness to conversion to post-purchase engagement.

What you'll do:
- eCommerce Strategy:
- Own and deliver on digital sales targets for Wireline products (Internet, TV, Entertainment, Home Phone, Add-Ons, etc) across web and mobile platforms.
- Define and lead the eCommerce strategy, optimizing for sales conversion, upsell/cross-sell, bundling performance, and organic search visibility.
- Develop a long-term roadmap for digital growth to increase the digital penetration rates.
- Experience Optimization & Innovation:
- Own strategy for optimizing buyflows, eligibility tools, address checkers, and plan comparison features.
- Advocate for technical innovation to accelerate self-serve, reduce call deflection, and improve activation speed.
- Collaborate with design and content leads to streamline content delivery, ensuring UX alignment and SEO compliance.
- Enable personalization at scale through segmentation logic, dynamic content targeting, and predictive engagement models.
- Platform & Capability Ownership:
- Oversee performance and integration of key systems / applications including CMS (Contentful), Adobe Test&Target, SEO Tools, Adobe Analytics, GA4, and personalization engines.
- Partner with engineering and product teams to ensure scalable, modular front-end architecture that supports rapid experimentation, SEO-friendly structures, and omnichannel consistency.
- Partner with engineering teams to improve / enhance the performance of API connections between front-end eCommerce interfaces and backend systems (CRM, inventory, billing, order management), ensuring real-time data flow, dynamic pricing, and seamless customer experiences.
- Drive requirements for backend integrations with order management, CRM, fulfillment, and billing systems and to improve these API endpoints.
- SEO Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive SEO strategy to increase organic traffic and improve search rankings for the key digital properties.
- Implement technical SEO best practices, including site architecture optimization, schema markup, page speed improvements, and mobile-first design.
- Conduct keyword research and integrate high-value terms into product pages, promotional content, and buyflows to align with customer search intent.
- Collaborate with content, UX, and engineering teams to ensure SEO compliance across all digital experiences and new feature launches.
- Monitor and analyze SEO performance using tools like Adobe Analytics, GA4, and BrightEdge, providing actionable insights to drive continuous improvement.
- Stay current on SEO trends, algorithm updates, and competitive strategies to maintain strong organic visibility and conversion performance.
- Cross-Functional Leadership & Governance:
- Lead a high-performing team of product owners, UX leads, technical program managers, and performance analysts.
- Partner closely with Technology, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Care leadership to align eCommerce execution with business priorities.
- Champion data integrity, SEO reporting, and analytics excellence, ensuring metrics are accurate, real-time, and actionable.
- Innovation & Data-Driven Leadership:
- Lead eCommerce Experience Design with Data Insight: Drive the optimization of wireline eCommerce journeys by leveraging analytics, conversion metrics, and customer behavior data to inform design and UX decisions.
- Champion Continuous Innovation in Digital Commerce: Explore emerging technologies, personalization engines, and advanced experimentation frameworks to deliver cutting-edge eCommerce capabilities.
- Drive Creative, Tech-Enabled Commerce Solutions: Merge intuitive design with scalable architecture and innovative features that enhance self-serve, bundling, and upsell opportunities.
- Integrate Data with Creative Vision: Use actionable insights from A/B testing, funnel analytics, and predictive models to create personalized, frictionless buying experiences.
- Advocate for a Holistic Digital Sales Journey: Ensure seamless interactions across all eCommerce touchpoints from product discovery to checkout aligning design, technology, and business goal
What you bring:
- +8 years in eCommerce, SEO strategy, product management, or technology leadership roles.
- Proven track record of growing digital revenue through conversion rate optimization, SEO and platform innovation.
- Deep technical fluency with commerce tech stacks, including CMS/DXP (Contentful, AEM), SEO tools, Adobe Target, Optimizely, Adobe Analytics, GA4, and tag management.
- API Integration Expertise: Ability to interpret API documentation, understand data structures, and ensure seamless integration between front-end and backend systems (CRM, inventory, billing, order management).
- Troubleshooting & Optimization: Skilled in validating payloads, resolving integration issues, and collaborating with engineering teams to optimize API performance for real-time eligibility and dynamic pricing.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and modern front-end frameworks (React, Angular).
- Strong understanding of telecom wireline products and operational constraints.
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills, with experience presenting to VP and executive levels.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
