We are looking for a self-motivated, dynamic, communications professional to join the corporate communications team. In this role, you will use your expertise to develop strategies to protect and advance corporate reputation, engage employees and enable business results. You will also thrive in our fast-paced, high-energy working environment and build strong relationships both across Rogers and externally. You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and have a proven ability to craft effective and compelling messages. You are comfortable working with executives and have experience with change management and internal communications. You are a strategic thinker and have extensive experience developing and executing successful communications plans. 

This is a 12-month contract role based in Toronto, and reports to the Senior Director of Communications. Accountabilities of the role include:

  • Develop and drive a best-in-class communications program to support and promote key customer transformation plans
  • Partner with colleagues across communications and business teams to create compelling content to leverage internally and externally
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional colleagues and leadership team to align on shared goals and strategies
  • Lead internal communications program to drive a customer-first culture, omni-channel narrative & strong employee engagement
  • Develop and execute effective leader communications programs supporting Chief Customer Officer
  • Work with cross functional partners to deliver change management programs
  • Source and develop positive stories that profile our frontline teams and customers
  • Manage and influence the work of both a direct team and a cross-functional team to increase coordination of customer-first and frontline channel communications within the team, and across the organization
  • Provide mentorship and support that helps build and sustain a strong culture of inclusion, growth, and performance

About you:

  • You have deep experience working in communications, with a focus on internal communications and change management
  • You have experience working as a communications advisor to senior executives providing strategic communications counsel
  • You are a great writer with a passion for storytelling
  • You have a University degree and/or diploma
  • You’re a creative thinker with a proven track record for bringing fresh thinking to the table and implementing new ideas
  • You’re an excellent team player that enjoys collaborating with different people across an organization
  • You can manage multiple projects and deliver on tight deadlines in a fast-paced corporate environment
  • Experience and knowledge of frontline operations with a passion for customer experience trends and driving best-in-class employee experiences
  • You bring a fresh perspective and new ideas
