Who we’re looking for:

Do you love virtualization, cutting-edge technologies, servers, networking, and automation?
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Cloud Infrastructure Team as a key contributor responsible for the engineering, operations, and support of Rogers’ private cloud environments. Our infrastructure includes VMware vSphere, NSX networks, VMware ARIA Suite, VMware Tanzu, Linux, and Kubernetes.

 

What you will be doing: 

  • Deploy, and manage the virtualized infrastructure using VMware products, including vSphere, NSX-T, vCloud Director, AVI Networks, and Tanzu.
  • Maintain and optimize the performance, reliability, and scalability of virtual environments.
  • Implement and manage** network virtualization solutions using NSX-T.
  • Integrate and manage** containerized applications using VMware Tanzu.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot** infrastructure issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, networking, and security teams** to streamline and automate processes.
  • Create and maintain documentation** for systems and procedures related to VM infrastructure.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in virtual infrastructure and cloud technologies

What you will bring:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in VMware technologies including vSphere, NSX-T, vCloud Director, AVI, and Tanzu.
  • In-depth knowledge of **virtualization concepts**, including compute, storage, and networking.
  • Strong experience in **network virtualization** using VMware NSX-T.
  • Experience in **Kubernetes** and **Tanzu** for managing containerized workloads.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
  • Linux system administration experience
  • Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, routing, switching)
