  • An electronic engineering technician or technologist certification would be considered an asset 

  • Must have demonstrated knowledge of computer applications. (Office apps, Web Browsers, command line, Linux an asset) 

  • A strong mechanical aptitude would be considered an asset. 

  • The ability to reference manuals for setup 

  • Experience using basic hand and power tools (knives, crimpers, pliers, drills, etc.) 

  • The ability to prepare and organize associated paperwork 

  • Must possess above-average communication skills, be highly motivated and self-directed 

  • Must possess a strong customer service-oriented approach. 

  • Maintains work area in a clean and safe condition and adheres to applicable health and safety issues 

  • Any AC and DC generator knowledge would be considered an asset 

  • Demonstrated ability to terminate Cat5e/6 ethernet cable to T-568A and T-568B standards. 

  • Must have the ability to perform AC and DC power measurements 

  • Working knowledge of POE (Power over Ethernet) would be considered an asset. 

  • Must be comfortable working at heights up to 48 metres (160 ft) 

  • Should be physically fit as some tasks are physically demanding. 

  • Climbing / Rigging experience considered an asset 




You will be trained and be responsible for the following: 

  • Providing programming and technical support (i.e. internet applications and desktop applications to customers) 

  • Testing radio connectivity 

  • Installing an antenna on the rooftop and being able to run wires to a standard 

  • Ensure internet access is established 

  • Set up an IP address on a computer/networking equipment. 

  • Set up billing system and all associated documentation 

  • The ability to climb on a roof using a ladder. 

  • Troubleshoot any programming errors 

  • Communicate in clear concise language to the customer paying attention to their needs 

  • Assist with the installation of equipment on cellular communications towers. 

  • Act in a professional and polite manner while representing the company on official business – be the face of the company 

  • Be able to translate IT Technology and jargon into easily understood language 

  • Perform other duties as requested by the department or team. 

  • Participate in a rotating 24h on-call schedule (every 4 – 6 weeks)
