As Lead, Supplier and Contract Management, you are responsible for the day to day monitoring and compliance analysis activities needed for the implementation of Supplier Performance Management, Commercial Contract Management and Third Party Risk Management frameworks.  In addition, the role is responsible for acting as a general resource for internal business partners and key supplier contacts to ensure understanding of the aforementioned frameworks and their relevant activities.


What you will be doing:

Supplier Life Cycle Performance Management:

  • Supports the day to day implementation of a Supplier Performance Management framework through activities such as data gathering and analysis, management of evidence of controls compilation, compiling and publishing reports on key metrics, and compliance monitoring activities.
  • Supports the development and implementation of processes as part of the supplier life cycle management framework to manage on-boarding, segmentation, and exiting suppliers in order to build an effective supplier network for Rogers.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to monitor key performance metrics to support supplier performance scorecard compilation and associated action plans.

Commercial Contract Life Cycle Management:

  • Manage the day to day implementation of a Commercial Contract Management framework through activities such as data gathering and analysis, rebate/credit collection management, contract reviews and analysis, compiling and publishing reports on key metrics, and alert/monitoring activities.
  • Support the design and implementation of standardized processes to execute, monitor, manage, and terminate contracts.

Third Party Risk Management:

  • Assist in the design, development and successful roll-out of Rogers Third Party Risk Management framework.
  • Responsible for engagement of internal subject matter experts to identify key risks associated with third party engagement, while collaborating with a diverse range of business units to ensure compliance to compliance expectations.
  • Lead the negotiation of Non-Disclosure Agreements to successfully carry out on-site audits of high-risk suppliers and actively monitor corrective action plans for successful close-out.
  • Manage Rogers Ethical Procurement Practices program and report on its sucess to key internal and external stakeholders as required.
  • Actively communicate and train internal resources on Rogers Third Party Risk Managament program and related activities.

Supplier Relationship Management:

  • Responsible for acting as a general resource for key supplier contacts to ensure understanding of supplier performance management activities and answer general procurement related questions.
  • Acts as a first level focal point for supplier performance issues related to assigned supplier relationships.

Stakeholder Relationship Management:

  • Acts as a first level focal point for internal business stakeholders for supplier performance issues related to assigned supplier relationships.
  • Partner with key internal stakeholders to ensure goal alignment and effective communication with assigned suppliers.

Supplier Risk & Compliance Management:

  • Support policy revisions and interpretation across the organization
  • Manage the day to day data and reporting to support supplier evaluation, risk assessment, and compliance processes.
  • Manage the day to day data and reporting used to support supplier base health and risk mitigation governance processes.
  • Support department goals around ethical procurement practices, supplier social responsibility objectives, and supplier diversity and sustainability programs.


What you bring:

  • Experience in policy development and effective change management
  • Knowledge of risk management and compliance, preferrably in the telecommunications industry, and strategies to mitigate against such risks
  • Strong interest in corporate social responsibility initiatives including supplier diversity
  • Ability to navigate Ariba and Oracle to leverage their reporting capabilities
  • Strategic mindset and strong analytic skills
  • University degree in business, finance or related field with a general understanding of business operations and subject matter expertise
  • 3 – 5 years sourcing, procurement, telecommunications, supplier/vendor management or equivalent experience
  • Strong communication, listening and influencing skills, able to communicate technical/complex data in a clear and concise manner; a demonstrated collaborator and consensus builder
  • Creativity to seek, encourage and find non-traditional approaches
  • Ability to make effective and timely decisions using a mixture of critical thinking, analysis, inputs and judgement and holds oneself accountable to the outcomes of those decisions
  • Results-driven both short and long term
  • Demonstrated ability to independently bring successful resolution to standard, routine and/or functional problems by suggesting alternative solutions to meet business owners or suppliers needs
  • Ability to execute against multiple projects and excel in a fast-paced, results-oriented work environment.
