The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, defining, implementing, and executing projects across Corporate Learning and Leadership Team.
As a Project Manager, the individual will be required to manage end to end delivery for multiple projects within various portfolios. This individual needs to be an energetic self-starter that is highly motivated and can thrive in a fluid, dynamic environment, be highly organized with problem solving, strong verbal and written communications skills.
What you'll do:
• Support the initial strategic planning of projects and ensures project objectives, scope and deliverables are clearly identified at project initiation
• Take complex projects and streamline processes and define efficiencies to lead the project to a successful close and meet deliverables
• Define project scope and champion stakeholder needs, develop comprehensive business requirements, and establish key deliverables and success metrics within the PMP process.
• Lead and manage projects effectively and ensure they are delivered on time, on budget, and to agreed quality standards.
• Effectively manages vendors solutions in terms of scope, timelines and costs and communicates outcomes and risks to program management.
• Accountable to identify/raise project issues and drive the resolution of delivery issues in strong collaboration with various teams.
• Excellent influencing skills, analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Regularly communicates, interfaces, and builds strong relationships with all appropriate stakeholders to ensure smooth transition of the business solution throughout the project lifecycle.
• Must possess strong negotiation, influencing, stakeholder management, communication, and business writing skills.
• Strong Relationship management and advanced communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to quickly build trusted relationships while managing the interrelationship between projects and stakeholders
• Schedule regular Project status review meetings and Steering committee meetings with the sponsor, management and required project stakeholders
• Ability to effectively communicate project scope, cost, schedule to senior and C-level leadership team
• Ability to manage ambiguity, uncertainty and changing priorities.
• Identify and propose process improvement opportunities that complement the project and the overall department strategic plan
What you'll bring:
• Strong project management skills with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in project management preferably in learning and development
• Certification in adult education is an asset
• PMP (Project Management) Certifications are an asset
• Ability to work in multiple projects concurrently
• Ability to handle ambiguity and rapid change
• Attentive to details and deadlines; ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio)
