Are you up for the challenge and the fun??  If so, consider the following opportunity!

We’re looking for a Manager, Content Analysis to define, build, and install a data-informed approach to our ongoing digital content optimization practices.

You’ve got a quantitative mind, but you love to ponder qualitative problems. You’re also a builder – someone who has a keen sense of how to install a new practice or find a new idea and champion its value until it makes us better.

This is an opportunity to help transform the way we go-to-market to better meet the needs and expectations of our fans who consume sports content on their terms. We can’t make that transformation without learning to better optimize our content for each channel, for each fan, and for entirely new business outcomes.

If you love data, social & digital content, business transformation, and big challenges, please apply!

What you will do:

We want your help driving answers to big digital content questions, such as:

  • How do we enable a more effective social content amplification strategy? Are we getting good value out of our boosts, or can we be doing better?
  • What content types are well-optimized for specific digital channels?
  • What trends do you see in our content that typically breaks through?
  • How is our content mix meeting (or NOT meeting) the needs of our ever-changing consumers?
  • What metrics and benchmarks should we be holding ourselves to? And which ones simply don’t matter?

In order to get there, we want your help to:

  • Build out our measurement frameworks and drive the strategic thinking behind them so we can harness the impact and successes of our digital content
  • Develop the methodology for a regular content reporting cadence and operationalize it
  • Advocate for a data-informed approach – we don’t want to over-obsess over misleading data points, but we DO want to install more data savvy in our content development
  • Collaborate on semi-regular content audits and mine the findings for insights, playing a crucial role in the ongoing development of our content strategy
  • Maintain a well-groomed queue of hypotheses requiring more detailed research alongside key digital and content colleagues
  • Mentor a budding junior content analyst and manage their career path
  • Help build a culture of inquiry, curiosity, and bold decision-making

What you will bring:

  • Data is a part of the way you think - you’re not afraid to jump head-first into large datasets and help make sense of what you find
  • This isn’t your first content audit – you have either driven or helped contribute to a larger-scale content analysis project before
  • Social analytics and web analytics experience are required. Adobe Omniture experience preferred.
  • Agency experience considered an asset
  • Your slides? Now THOSE are some nice slides
  • You consider yourself a “process person” – doing the work can be as important as figuring out how to keep doing it optimally and making sure the machine is running smoothly
  • While we appreciate that many individuals are big fans of the sports and teams we work with, we will be assessing candidates primarily on their work experience and capabilities

Here’s what you can expect in return:

  • A competitive salary and benefits that include access to our Employee Share Accumulation Program, Retirement Benefits and a variety of other perks including 50% off Rogers services and Blue Jays tickets
  • A manager who deeply cares about your development and long-term career at Rogers
  • A team that trusts and wants to win together
  • Smart and accomplished colleagues who are focused on both the “what” and the “how”
  • Flexibility to work from home even after the pandemic ends
  • Your choice of hardware and software (iPhone or Android/Mac or PC etc.)
  • As we grow our team, the well-being of our team members remains our top priority. To ensure the health and safety of our team members, including those in the recruitment process, our team members are working from home, and are equipped to do so safely and efficiently
