Manager Employee Relations  

Reporting to the Senior Director HRBP, Connected Home, the successful incumbent will contribute to the overall success of the Employee Relations (ER) team. The Manager Employee Relations is responsible for providing investigations support to designated business lines, and finalizing high-risk employee investigation cases. The Manager Employee Relations ensures that all activities conducted, are in compliance with federal and provincial regulations, as well as internal Rogers policies, and procedures.

What you will be doing: 

  • Assess and independently resolve highly complex investigations
  • Exercise judgment and present recommendations and risks; provide professional guidance, coaching and support, and provide people leaders & HR Business Partners with the appropriate tools and materials that will assist them in resolving the investigation issues presented to them
  • Participate in projects to develop workforce experience best practices and propose new / modified programs and policies to better organizational needs
  • Maintain best in class closure times
  • Ensure compliance to federal and provincial laws as well as internal Rogers policies and procedures
  • Act as an investigation subject matter expert for designated line(s) of business

What you have:

  • Undergraduate degree in related field. Master's degree in business administration or HR would be an asset
  • 3+ years of employee relations/investigation experience in a large and complex organization
  • 5 -7 years progressive HR experience, including working at a management level
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively influence and build strong relationships with multiple stakeholders and confidential/sensitive information
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced and rapidly changing matrix environment
  • Sound analytical, problem-solving and negotiation skills with an ability to understand broad complex business issues
  • Deep experience with Excel and PowerPoint
  • CHRP designation would be an asset
  • Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset
