We are looking for a strong leader to join the Digital Media team within Rogers as Manager, Mobile Development (iOS).  In this role, you will be responsible for re-imagining the mobile experience for some of Canada’s most well-known brands such as Sportsnet, Citytv, 680News, Kiss 92.5, CHFI and more!  


What you will do:

  • Manage the technical iOS roadmap
  • Perform hands-on coding of mobile solutions using the latest technologies and tools such as SwiftUI and Combine
  • Provide leadership to a team of iOS developers and work collaboratively across teams to deliver development initiatives
  • Work closely with business and product teams to deliver the best user experience for our customers
  • Hire, coach, develop and retain competent and engaged staff to achieve personal, professional and corporate objectives
  • Accountable for end-to-end delivery of features, enhancements and projects
  • Provide estimates and high level solutions
  • Implement processes, best practices, and tools allow for multiple paths of delivery
  • Development culture and developer experience
  • Design and build new iOS apps from the ground up
  • Be the leading voice for proper mobile architecture practices
  • Maintain and improve existing in market apps
  • Participate in regular code reviews
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (Daily scrums, backlog grooming, sprint planning, etc)


What you will bring:

  • You have previous experience as a manager with excellent people management skills and the ability to hire and grow a talented team of developers
  • Experience leading developers across all levels
  • Ability to mentor other developers
  • Have shipped and supported multiple apps
  • Experience with Objective-C and Swift
  • Working knowledge of SwiftUI and Combine
  • tvOS experience is a huge plus
  • Experience with CICD, Jenkins
  • Solid communication skills
