Our Service Expansion team is looking for like-minded professionals to help us bring the very best of broadband, video and voice services to more new homes and businesses in Canada than ever before!   

The manager of New Markets will manage a centralized funnel of proposed service expansion projects for our Connected Home business. Working collaboratively across multiple business segments such as Network, Finance, Sales and Marketing, the successful candidate will oversee the intake, assessment, approval and deployment life cycle for all proposed expansion projects to new and mature communities in accordance with business strategy and targets, while managing to capital budgets and revenue expectations.    

What you will be doing:

  • Serve as a single point of contact for the service expansion team’s expansion funnel, required capital investment and revenue expectations
  • Work with major accounts and urban planning functions to ensure a continuous inflow of new proposed greenfield opportunities in alignment with business strategy
  • Work collaboratively across multiple teams including network, IT, technical operations, Rogers for Business and Wireless to develop cost and impact assessments for proposed build locations while maximizing cross-BU benefits through inputs from R4B and Wireless 
  • Consult with network to identify solutions to extend network reach at lowest possible unit costs, to maximize opportunities, and manage to escalation processes when costs exceed thresholds
  • Leverage latest financial models to develop business cases with sales & marketing teams for all assessed properties and ensuring ROI meets thresholds guidelines
  • Work collaboratively with finance for the maintenance and continuous improvement of business case models used to support all greenfield & underserved expansion programs and sensitivity studies
  • Seek cross functional support & approvals for assessed properties into the build plan of record 
  • Provide visibility to forecasted and delivered builds for sales & marketing teams
  • Establish reporting to monitor capital commitments, planned vs actualized ROI and associated revenues 
  • Work collaboratively with Geospatial teams to integrate build plans into visuals
  • Manage the transition to scalable software solutions such as Sales Force to streamline and maintain the integrity of a growing intake & plan of record database of all proposed & approved expansion properties
  • Support the development of program budgets and capital authorization requests

What you bring:

  • Post Secondary Diploma or Degree 
  • 5+ Years of Working Experience
  • Experience in managing projects involving multiple teams
  • Experience in working with Microsoft Power Point and Excel applications
  • Experience in developing and delivering reports, presentations and proposals
  • Experience working with business cases and financial metrics
  • Experience working in the telecommunications industry an asset
  • Knowledge of Wireline or Wireless access networks is an asset
  • Has a strong drive for success
  • Experience with Sales Force is an asset
