The Toronto Blue Jays are looking for a Manager, Premium Sales! 

 

Reporting to the Director, Premium Sales, the Manager, Premium Sales is responsible for the Suites and Premium Club portfolio at Rogers Centre. Candidates must have strong business to business sales results and proven leadership achievement. Leading a team of Account Managers, the successful candidate will be responsible for executing & supporting departmental vision, implementing strategic pricing, product, and benefit initiatives, leading and launching new business/renewal campaigns, promoting salesforce adoption and process development as well as coaching and developing their people. This person will have a vast network within the GTA business community and will need to demonstrate their ability to navigate these professional circles. The successful candidate must be a proactive, goal-oriented individual with a strong ability to foster a healthy, collaborative, and outbound sales culture!

RESPONSIBILITIES 

 

  • Drive a proactive and collaborative sales culture with a focus on new revenue generation, maintaining high retention rates and delivering growth for the entire TBJ Ticketing Department    

  • Develop and execute a business plan with clear, measurable KPIs, focused on new sales/renewals for Rogers Centre Premium Club spaces 

  • Develop and execute a business plan with clear, measurable KPIs, focused on new sales/renewals for Rogers Centre Suite Leases and Nightly Rentals 

  • Reporting and regular review of sales and process data to ensure category/segment optimization and to uncover new opportunities 

  • Coach and empower your group of Account Managers to achieve team and individual sales objectives  

  • Develop or source consistent sales & leadership training to support personal and professional growth objectives for your team 

  • Work collaboratively with the Premium Service group to provide support and deliver a best-in-class service experience to Premium Members & Suiteholders 

  • Liaise with HR and other internal stakeholders to manage the premium sales hiring process when necessary 

  • Liaise with internal and external partners on projects involving premium spaces at Rogers Centre 

  • Help manage departmental financial, budget and reporting practices 

  • Mentor your people through personal and professional development goals 

  • Develop innovative sales programs to work towards our goals and support Account Managers 

  • Liaise and develop strong working relationships with all TBJ departments 
     

QUALIFICATIONS 

 

  • A post-secondary degree or adequate experience in sports business 

  • A minimum of 4 years demonstrated success in sales and proven success in a leadership capacity 

  • A values-based approach and keen interest in developing the careers of others 

  • Proven understanding of and appreciation for applying leadership principles to role 

  • An innovative and enthusiastic approach to B2B/new business development 

  • An ongoing awareness and responsiveness to client satisfaction 

  • Strong project management skills 

  • Effective interpersonal, presentation and communication skills 

  • A preference for the team approach to selling 

  • Organized, self-motivated and a creative problem solver 

  • Proven ability to meet established goals and deadlines while being alert to change 

  • Ability to work game nights as required
