Rogers is seeking a passionate, team focused Manager of User Experience & Design for our Rogers Sports and Media portfolio to join our team and play a key role in shaping the customer experience across multiple digital touchpoints.

What you will be doing: 

As the Manager of Product Design you will lead the set the strategy for the design of the customer. You are a product thinker who will contribute to each phase of the design process to deliver elegant intuitive digital experiences for our diverse audiences.

Working with the Rogers Sports and Media team building and operating digital products for over dozens of  media brands. The team works in an agile, collaborative, and fun atmosphere where effort, innovation, and results are recognized and rewarded.

  • You see the big picture and have extensive experience overseeing enterprise level UXD projects from the idea stage to launch

Responsibilities: 

  • Design engaging digital experiences for Sportsnet, News and Entertainment brands.
  • Creating immersive experiences across multiple platforms, including browsers, iOS, Android, Apple TV, and more.
  • Work with Product owners to define the problems that design can solve for
  • Sketching, wireframing, and running usability tests
  • Creating high fidelity assets including prototypes and static mock-ups
  • Work and collaborate with cross-functional teams using agile/scrum methodology
  • Presentations and communication to stakeholders
  • Provide support to Rogers’ broader Experience Design team as required
  • Champion for the customer, advocating on behalf of our customers across the organization while ensuring we meet our core business objectives. 
  • Proactively Advocate for drive the integration of design thinking within the team and across the organization to ensure the delivery of quality digital experiences 
  • Ensure the integration of user experience research within the design delivery lifecycle to identify user needs, inform solutions, and validate design assumptions with customers and employees 
  • Oversee brand integrity of our digital properties by ensuring the application of approved digital standards, defined in partnership with the Brand teams 

  

Requirements: 

  • 5+ years of product design 
  • 5 years leading, managing and inspiring design teams
  • In-depth knowledge and expertise with Adobe XD/Figma/Sketch, and prototyping tools
  • Ability to work independently and seek stakeholder engagement proactively
  • You are empathetic to business requirements without losing sight of user needs
  • Ability to present and articulate your work to senior product stakeholders, front-end developers and brand and content teams
  • An exceptional online portfolio that demonstrates your expertise, problem-solving skills, and talent.
  • Strong knowledge of the latest trends and technologies in web and mobile design, user-centered design and interaction design 
  • Degree in human factors, human-computer interaction, information design or related work experience 
  • Sound knowledge of inclusive design and accessibility requirements
