The Talent Acquisition Manager will be accountable for leading the Rogers Sports and Media and the Rogers for Business portfolios. This position will report to the Head of Talent Acquisition.

Success in this role requires a high degree of business acumen and consulting skills, including the ability to understand the challenges of our dynamic business environment and translate them into effective recruitment strategies. This is an exciting role with high visibility and exposure to Senior Leadership team where you are responsible for leading a team of Senior Recruitment consultants.

As a strong leader, you will have the ability to think beyond the human resources function and contribute to the overall success of the business. You would be working collaboratively with the talent acquisition team, key stakeholders and HR business partners across all regions on our continued journey to build a world-class Talent Acquisition organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of Recruitment Consultants that are accountable for hiring the best talent 
  • Be an effective partner to the business to understand their hiring needs and build strategies to ensure Rogers hires the right talent
  • Lead your team to be excellent assessors of talent to align with Rogers values, culture, competencies and skill set
  • Communicate effectively and build strong client relationships with all stakeholders
  • Leverage your strong business acumen and leadership skills to drive a high performing team
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills with an ability to resolve conflict situations in an effective manner
  • Collaborate with the HR Business Partners, Hiring Managers and Business Leaders on defining effective sourcing and hiring strategies
  • Partner with your peer Talent Acquisition Managers to drive new and innovative recruitment initiatives for the business
  • Understand and keep informed on best practice candidate sourcing and recruitment strategies, trends and technology
  • Measure, track and report on recruitment performance against defined metrics, including Hiring Manager and new hire satisfaction
  • Ensure operational efficiencies by leveraging ATS recruitment technology

Qualifications:

  • Previous hiring experience in Sports, Media and Sales type of roles would be an asset
  • Demonstrated experience in coaching, leadership and mentoring
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proven ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong work ethic to meet challenging and changing deadlines
  • Demonstrated business professionalism, respect for confidentiality and appropriate handling of sensitive information
