Reporting to the Sr Manager, Essbase & BI , the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Interact with Business to gather complex business requirements and turn into practical planning, reporting analytical solutions
  • Write and maintain clear, concise functional and technical specifications for Hyperion/Essbase/Anaplan applications and business system processes
  • Interact with IT to lead the streamlining of processes and improve efficiencies
  • Support existing Hyperion and Essbase application for financial, Capital and Subscriber reporting.
  • Design and implement custom reports using Hyperion/Essbase/Tableau/Anaplan reporting tools to address company needs and improve frequency, accuracy and timeliness of reporting
  • Analyze and interpret data on a continuous basis to produce actionable insights and results
  • Coordinate Month End , RCA and solution of defect reported with Prod Support Team.
  • Visual storytelling and report building to solve complex business problems using new and innovative data visualizations
  • Assisting Senior Manager on various initiatives impacting P&L reporting, budgeting and Forecasting
  • Supporting system implementation/updates which includes, but is not limited to participating in cross-functional working sessions, requirements development, design review, test case development, functional and regression testing


What you'll bring: 

  • Minimum six (6) years of relevant experience in development and administration of Hyperion Suite Applications including Planning & Essbase.
  • >5 years of progressive experience in financial reporting and analytics
  • Knowledge and hands-on use of FDMEE, Hyperion Planning, Essbase, SmartView and Financial Reporting. Strong experience in the development of Business Rules, Essbase Calc Scripts and Maxl.
  • Results-oriented with strong analytical skills and proven ability to produce high quality work while prioritizing multiple activities concurrently
  • Experiences with process/report/control development and improvement
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop an effective team
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability to address staff budgeting and reporting requirements while ensuring the effective design of the Hyperion Planning applications and troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and advanced Excel
  • Experience with SQL, SAS, Access, Tableau/Power BI and other data analytic / automation tools is an asset
