The Manager, Base Pricing, is responsible for the development and execution of pricing offers for The Connected Home installed base. The successful candidate will connect into channel specific planning, build pricing proposals that connect to business targets for subscribers, revenue and spend while ensuring the strength of execution to deliver both short term and long-term business results. They must have a deep understanding of competitive dynamics, our business economics, and know how to bring pricing to life across multiple channels.

 

What You Will Be Doing:
•    Create base pricing strategies to meet subscriber, revenue, cost, and profitability targets by analyzing customer-based data, financial data, demand trends, and industry dynamics.
•    Assist in running rate increase, retention, and migration programs
•    Seek alignment on recommended strategy with key stakeholders (Finance, CBM, IT, Care, Product, Planning)  
•    Analyze customer-based data, financial data, demand trends, and industry dynamics to identify and action new pricing initiatives.
•    Collaborate with Customer Base Marketing and IT ensuring measures and tools are established & implemented for operational success
•    Support pricing proposals with robust business cases.
•    Ensure development and maintenance of pricing tools (pricing grid, offer results/uptake, competitive grid, etc)
•    Collaborate with other cross functional teams to have an in-depth understanding of market/competition and maintain awareness of offers.
•    Leads analysis to assess program effectiveness and suggest opportunities for program 
•    improvements. 

 

What You Bring:
•    Experience in pricing/marketing/strategy function
•    Experience in telecommunications/connected home an asset
•    Experience presenting proposals to senior leaders
•    Very strong analytical and presentation skills, including advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
•    Self starter with proven ability to take complete “closed-loop” ownership & accountability of projects, demonstrating flexible thinking.
•    Effective planning and monitoring skills required for execution and follow-up on programs in a multi-tasking environment.
•    Comfortable with deadlines in a dynamic, fast-moving environment
•    Able to build relationships across the organization
•    A deep understanding of recurring revenue businesses
