The Commercial Lead, Small Business will focus on building and executing on the strategic plan across the 4Ps (Product, Pricing, Promotions and Place) to deliver profitable growth for Rogers Small Business segment. Working in an agile marketing squad, responsible for driving SOHO and Rogers Preferred Pricing segments, this individual will work collaboratively with the squad members and the rest of the wireless organization to deliver against subscriber and financial metrics. This is a critical role within the team, having a strategic commercial lens on both the short term and long-term levers to grow this business profitably.

Mandate & Responsibilities:

  • Identify priorities and targets for each quarter that align to longer term goals

  • Monitor competitive landscape, market conditions and consumer insights on the Small Business portfolio to inform recommendations for quarterly plans

  • Development of marketing programs to drive new customer acquisition for small business

  • Drive new campaign development and testing within agile marketing structure

  • Foster strong working relationships with broader cross functional team for the design and execution of the quarterly calendar

  • Own, understand, monitor and track results against business objectives for owned programs, identify trends, and provide insights and recommendations on outcomes

  • Provide business outlook by month and by quarter for Small Business

  • Develop action plans to drive results if shortfalls exist, such as gap plans as well as war room lead on competitive moves and responses

  • Ensure marketing campaigns promote brand unique value proposition, support Likelihood to recommend initiatives and position Rogers as the preferred choice for Small Business

  • Recommend and implement improvements to the quarterly planning process for flawless execution

  • Interlock on key strategic projects with internal stakeholders (i.e. digital, IT, marketing etc.)


The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • 5+ years marketing experience, preferably in the telecom industry

  • Flexibility to take on and own different challenges

  • Curiosity and willingness to test and learn

  • Driven, results oriented and demonstrates cross-functional leadership

  • University degree-preferably focused in marketing, communications or advertising

  • Experience developing marketing campaigns that engage, inform, and convert

  • Superior communication skills - written and oral (in both official languages)

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to influence others and comfortable working in a highly matrixed organization
