Manager, Research and Reporting – Indigenous Collaboration
Rogers’ Connected Home Team is seeking a Manager, Research & Reporting, Indigenous Collaboration, eager to join our growing team. You will provide insights and analysis that helps shape Rogers’ Indigenous community engagement model, consultation plans and ongoing collaboration opportunities.
This opportunity is for a candidate with a strong understanding and awareness of Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit, and Métis) culture and public policy. You will be a key player in developing reporting and insights to derive the profitability and social value of Indigenous community projects. The goal of this role will be to bring about a greater understanding of how to create successful partnerships with Indigenous communities.
What You’ll Do:
- Identify, lead and participate on internal and/or external benchmarking and corporate review initiatives; present benchmarking results to the Director, Indigenous Collaboration and other senior management as required;
- Review and report on economic and financial evaluations. Analyze and assess findings based on results, current trends and public opinions;
- Work closely with business stakeholders and finance and other support teams to conduct business and data analysis, design, build, and maintain reporting dashboards and translate data into meaningful insights.
- Lead the research and analysis of INAC (Indian and Northern Affairs Canada) policy considerations in the context of natural resources development across Canada
- Support the preparation of an annual program report for submission to the Board of Directors;
- Lead gap analysis, identification of needs, development of specific initiatives, and monitoring and evaluating effectiveness of Rogers’ Indigenous Relations Commitment Statement;
What You Need to Succeed:
- Experience in Public Policy, Political Science, Public Administration or another relevant discipline
- 2 – 3 years’ experience in policy analysis
- Experience working in or with the Indigenous communities
- Knowledge of government organisational structures and legislative processes
- Well written and have superior oral english skills.
- Extensive experience in research, both qualitative and quantitative
- Demonstrates critical thinking, analytical, research and creative problem solving skills, with a keen eye for detail;
- Analyzing, forming, data gathering and reporting on multiple KPIs and measures
