Rogers for Business is looking for passionate, goal-oriented individuals to join our winning team. We are currently looking for a Marketing Planning Manager based in Toronto.

The Marketing Planning Manager will manage strategic initiatives with an emphasis on customer experiences that drive business results, continuous improvement, and operational efficiency. The role will manage programs such as integrated national marketing campaigns, digital customer experience initiatives, product launch and go to market activities. This individual will be responsible for managing program deliverables and timelines, stakeholder expectations, and program updates at both the working team and Leadership levels.  They have experience navigating complex organizations and leading large matrixed teams with excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks and strong process, project, and program planning experience.



What you will be doing:

  • Conduct stakeholder interviews to understand and define program scope, key objectives, priorities, and milestones, to develop integrated roadmaps and project plans
  • Partner with broader teams to define project scope, benchmarks, financial and business objectives
  • Create and maintain detailed roadmaps and project plans inclusive of key deliverables, project interdependencies, gaps, and risks.
  • Lead purposeful cross-functional meetings:
    • Set a clear meeting agenda with appropriate participants and materials with detailed minutes including action logs and next steps
    • Solicit input from all participants to foster and environment of teamwork and collaboration
    • Provide critical program updates, timelines, milestones, and decisions
    • Facilitate working-level meetings to collaborate and work through program roadblocks
  • Develop and present operations reports and program scorecard that highlight results and key stories for the leadership team



What you have and what you will bring:

  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of management and functional disciplines
  • Confidence in working with senior leaders to drive successful program development and execution
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate discussions keeping participants on topic and within scheduled timelines
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including but not limited to IT/Digital technology and UX, Marketing, Customer Service, Sales, Finance and Product Development.
  • Excellent presentation skills, including building presentation materials to a wide variety of audiences (team level to executive level)
  • Knowledge using tools such as JIRA and adaptability for both Waterfall and Agile projects
  • Analytical & Critical thinking skills with creative problem solving
  • Ability to find the right person, at the right time, for the right need
  • Work well in an autonomous and ambiguous environment
  • Takes initiative, doesn’t get stuck on the little details, gets it done
  • Relevant experience in a fast paced environment in a project/program management role
  • Experience working with Technology and Digital programs is strongly preferred  
  • Post-secondary degree in business, commerce, marketing or related discipline
  • Project Management Professional – considered an asset but not required
  • Certified Agile Leader - considered an asset but not required
