We’re looking for a Part Time Media Preparation Operator within Sportsnet Operations to manage content across all media platforms.

What you will do:

  • Be part of a team that supports Sportsnet’s on-air requirements for Master Control and Production
  • Coordinate with MCR to ensure live and digitally delivered programing is Closed Captioned
  • Work with traffic and creative teams for commercial, promo and billboard acquisition.
  • Manage archival processes for on-air content.
  • Prepare server-based programming using Grass Valley Rio
  • Liaise with Satellite Operations and Programming Dept. for scheduled programming.
  • Ingest ENG and EFP content for production
  • Quality control of all media to assure CRTC and Sportsnet standards are met.
  • Assist the engineering team to solve technical problems
  • Adhere to all broadcast policies & procedures.

What you will bring:

  • Excellent understanding of workflows within a Master Control environment.
  • Good technical knowledge of television broadcast equipment.
  • Ability to react quickly in a fast-paced broadcast environment.
  • Familiarity of North American and European sports.
  • Experience with Arvato MAM systems and Grass Valley platform.
