Mgr, Third Party Oversight - Rogers Bank

Reporting to the Director of Operations and Technology, the role is responsible for end to end systems operations and processing functions including the management and oversight of third party service providers to ensure accurate, timely, and cost effective service delivery to Rogers Bank in accordance with OSFI’s B-10 Outsourcing of Business Activities, Functions and Processes. 

 

What you'll do:

  • Managing the day to day relationship with TSYS and other Bank outsourced service provider(s) in accordance with the third party risk management (TPRM) policy.  Leading monthly and/or quarterly business reviews and acting as a subject matter expert (SME) with regards to services and processes performed by TSYS and other assigned vendors, and related systems.
  • Assist in forecasting operational costs (OPEX) for TSYS and other service providers.  Responsible for tracking and validating of OPEX to monthly and annual budgets, processing monthly invoices and managing Purchase Orders.
  • Assist in defining requirements for new systems capabilities required for bringing new products and services to market.  Developing assessment criteria and evaluating potential service providers during market RFP process.  Assist in contract negotiations and onboarding of new service providers.  
  • Working and collaborating with Project Delivery Office (PDO) during onboarding of new initiatives and capabilities related to both new and existing vendors.
  • Monitoring vendor service levels and developing methods for evaluating operational performance to assess potential performance issues/opportunities.  Developing and maintaining relevant performance indicators to ensure high quality of service.
  • Collecting and reviewing contractually required documentation and certifications from outsourced service providers (PCI, SOC, ISO, Insurance certificates etc.)
  • Assist in business risks identification pertaining to outsourcing arrangements and develop mitigating controls and a monitoring programs for service providers and processes.  Assist in maintenance and review of Process-Risk-Control (PRC) library.
  • Identifying and delivering process improvements to drive operational efficiencies, new system capabilities, and enhanced customer experiences.
  • Proactively managing problems and defects by working with the Incident Management team during vendor issues resolution.  Assisting in coordination and communication of planned vendor system outages. Providing overall TSYS subject matter expertise to the Operations team.
  • On rotation for 24/7/365 after hours production issue identification and resolution.
  • Other duties as assigned.
     

What you'll bring:

  • University under-graduate degree or college diploma.
  • 3 years vendor relationship or project management  or similar experience
  • Knowledge of TSYS TS2, TS2 Options Sets and related credit card systems interfaces such as ADM, TRIAD, Tandem etc.
  • Working knowledge of industry standards, protocols and tools (PCI, API, AWS, OSFI B-10, etc.)
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to adapt and reprioritize in a fast-paced, changing work environment.
