Who we are looking for:
Reporting to the Sr. Manager US & International Wholesale Roaming, the Manager Roaming Settlement & Reporting will be responsible for the end-to-end settlement and financial reporting processes related to the US & International Wholesale Roaming portfolio.
What you'll do:
- Prepare and maintain month end results reporting packages to ensure accurate booking of revenues and costs tied to the US & International roaming portfolio.
- Prepare and maintain monthly forecasts and annual budget, with clear explanations of market conditions, key assumptions, risks and opportunities to internal stakeholders. Explain changes between forecasts.
- Manage roaming agreement settlement and reconciliations with up to 700 US & International roaming partners in accordance with agreement terms
- Manage roaming IoT/M2M agreement settlement and reconciliations in accordance with agreement terms
- Produce & maintain monthly gross roaming settlement packages that track and report the financial positions of all US & international partners
- Produce and share actionable insights related to forecasts, month end reporting or settlement with internal stakeholders to optimize the roaming portfolio. Help resolve and explain any variances.
- Maintain and monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable positions with all US & international partners
- Perform monthly invoicing, payments and debt collection to/from US & international partners, including reconciliations with partners & financial clearing house, and resolution of variances
- Act as the subject matter expert in understanding the overall wholesale roaming financial system to ensure accuracy and alignment with the general ledger
- Act as liaison between the wholesale roaming team and internal stakeholders such as Finance and Controllers
- Manage & maintain databases that tracks & stores all financial information for US/international wholesale roaming portfolio
- Improve, optimize, and automate processes related to the US/International Wholesale Roaming portfolio
- Perform ad hoc projects as required to support the business
What you bring:
- An undergraduate degree in Business/Commerce or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in progressively senior roles
- Ability to translate and communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
- Self-starter with the ability to quickly learn and understand concepts, multitask, investigate issues, solve problems, promote efficiency/automation, make decisions, manage processes, and work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent and proven analytical skills with attention to detail
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and perform well in a fast-paced and dynamic agile environment
- Proven ability to exercise a high degree of business judgment and sound reasoning
- Competitive & results-driven – both short-term and long-term
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; a demonstrated collaborator and relationship builder to effectively influence cross-functional teams
- Strong sense of presence. Confident and comfortable working with senior management
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access, Power BI)
- Proficiency in Databricks
- Coding proficiency with languages to extract and analyze data (SQL, SAS, Python) is an asset
- Technical aptitude about wireless, internet, and TV products + technologies considered an asset
- Experience in international wholesale roaming is an asset
- Positive attitude + enthusiasm & passion for business is a must!
