NOC Analyst - Seaside Wireless powered by Rogers


What you will bring:


  • University degree or equivalent post-secondary training in related discipline.

  • Minimum one year experience in an IT environment.

  • Solid analytical troubleshooting skills.

  • Methodic and systematic approach to problem solving.

  • Calm and organized demeanour.

  • Excellent communication skills required.

  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task.

  • Ability to cope with above-average stress levels.

  • Experience with LAN/WAN.

  • Above-average UNIX troubleshooting skills.

  • Experience using NMS tools.

  • Experience with Motorola Canopy wireless equipment an asset.

  • High-level network programming languages an asset (Python, PERL)

  • Solid TCP/IP fundamentals.

  • Have ability to work well with others.

  • Be able to work with minimum supervision.

  • Willing to take responsibility for their work and respond to company needs; i.e. work extra time as required to meet deadlines.


What you will be doing:


  • Monitor real time network conditions.

  • Understand the network operations to identify and resolve issues in a proactive manner.

  • Locate, analyze, and identify root causes to network issues and to issue corrective actions.

  • Provide documentation on all network issues.

  • Escalate network issues as per standard operating procedure.

  • Work with the field technicians and engineering to troubleshoot and isolate issues.

  • Monitor cable feeds to ensure quality programming and signal.

  • Assist technical service representatives as required.

  • Able to work shift work.

  • Keep work area clean and orderly.

  • Adhere at all times to all applicable health and safety policies.

  • Perform other duties as requested by the department or supervisor.
