680 NEWS is seeking a news anchor. Reporting to the News Director at One Ted Rogers Way, this individual will be able to prepare and present newscasts on-air and to report live from the scene of breaking news events.

 

Responsibilities:

News Anchor

 

•           Write, prepare and present the most up to date, factual and credible information.

•           Excellent knowledge of news and current affairs.

•           Operate the newsroom software and broadcast equipment. 

•           Knowledgeable of web trends and social media.

•           Other duties as assigned.

 

 

Qualifications:

•           5 years’ experience in a radio news department.

•           Graduate of a community college broadcast journalism program.

•           Strong verbal and written communication skills.

•           Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure.

•           Must be a self-starter and energetic

•           Must have a driver’s license.
