Manager – Hardware Pricing

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Hardware Pricing within the CBU Wireless Pricing team, the candidate will be directly responsible for the development, management and execution of wireless device pricing programs, tactics & strategy. 



  • Manage daily pricing for devices available to customers
  • Define, develop, and evolve device pricing strategy
    • Outline, update, and communicate guiding principles for device pricing that align to the overall pricing strategy
    • Leverage established frameworks to clearly explain how chosen strategies will impact the performance of key metrics
  • Develop and maintain quarterly roadmaps of proactive hardware pricing tactics that align with pricing strategy
    • Ensure quarterly hardware roadmaps deliver on quarterly priorities and objectives
    • Continuously socialize quarterly proactive roadmaps for alignment with key stakeholders as part of the quarterly planning cycle
    • Produce and present materials on proactive hardware programs on a frequent basis to secure alignment and approvals through standard governance forms
    • Consistently publish planned device pricing (by device and day) to a list of key stakeholders
  • Continuously evaluate competitive device pricing to ensure market competitiveness
    • Respond quickly to competitive gaps by assessing materiality, identifying + sizing options, and recommending any reactive hardware pricing tactics to address gaps as necessary
  • Ensure all device pricing information, program documentation, forecasts and reporting are accurate, reasonable, comprehensible, and completed in a timely manner
  • Produce reporting and analytics as required on key performance indicators and device programs 
    • Measure performance of device programs vs forecast & business case
    • Present insights to peers & senior management with recommendations on how to improve device pricing programs and strategies going forward
  • Perform ad hoc projects as required

 What you bring:

  • An undergraduate business/commerce degree
  • Self-starter with the ability to quickly learn and understand concepts, multi-task, investigate issues, solve problems, promote efficiency/automation, make decisions, manage processes, and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent and proven analytical skills, exceptional problem solving skills with attention to detail
  • Proven ability to meet tight deadlines, and perform well in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Proven ability to exercise a high degree of business judgment and sound reasoning
  • Demonstrated strong customer service orientation, interpersonal, and communication (written/verbal) skills
  • Strong proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Word. Knowledge of SQL, SAS or Thinkcell is an asset.
  • Technical aptitude with regard to wireless products and technologies
  • Enthusiasm and passion for business is a must!
