The Assisted Channels within Rogers focuses on technologies used by our front-line teams in order to support our Customers through various digital and non-digital channels. This role will be accountable for the design, ongoing development and troubleshooting of the suite of technologies in the assisted channels portfolio within enterprise architecture. This Senior position requires the candidate to draw upon their previous experience in enterprise architecture to thoroughly understand current and emerging technologies and to develop and enforce architecture process, ultimately guiding teams towards delivery and making sure that the strategic application of governance is embedded in the core management of the organization.

The successful candidate will possess exceptional communication skills and technology acumen to drives results, and has the ability to lead through influence, building strong relationships by working collaboratively with all levels of the organization.   

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide end-to-end architectural leadership across assisted channel initiatives and to advise senior leadership on architecture and technical decisions and direction.
  • Provide leadership and expertise in the development of standards, architectural governance, design patterns, and practices
  • Work with domain architects on the Enterprise Architecture Team and Solution Architects in delivery teams on the implementation of an enterprise architecture Roadmap for assisted channels.
  • Responsible for the end to end Program Architecture and Design of assigned channel programs
  • Partner with various business stakeholders and technology leaders within the assisted channels to translate program requirements into scalable technical solutions and system designs
  • Collaborate with other members of the delivery team to evaluate solutions and gain consensus on technical solutions
  • Responsible for the resolution of complex technical/design issues of assigned Technology and Operations programs.
  • Work in partnership with the delivery solution architects to design and deliver according to both the end-to-end design and the long term technical strategy/architecture for assisted channel initiatives
  • Lead in architectural reviews of software, infrastructure, data and other relevant architecture domains
  • Verifying the implementation of Programs, ensuring the delivered systems are consistent with the agreed long term architectural roadmaps for technology domains within the assisted channels
  • Responsible for ensuring the assigned programs follow Enterprise Architectural strategy and processes.
  • Responsible for ensuring alignment of solutions with Enterprise Architecture principles and guidelines
  • Work in partnership with program and project managers within the IT Department.
  • Responsible for the completeness of all program architectural, and design documentation.
  • Research and understand new technology trends and products
  • Socialize information on technology trends and products

 

Key Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years experience in technology, with at least 8 years in business support system design and architecture
  • Core understanding of modern front-end, back-end and cloud development stacks
  • AWS and/or Azure solution architect certification is desired
  • Understanding of common architecture frameworks and information models.  Preference given to candidates familiar with TM Forum Frameworx (TAM, SID. ETOM)
  • Exposure and experience with Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning
  • Experience with data streaming technologies, microservices and event-based architectures
  • Ability to assess rapidly changing technologies and apply them to business needs.
  • Business acumen and the ability to communicate to executives, business domain stakeholders and technical staff alike.
  • Must have the ability to consistently and collaboratively resolve issues, mitigate roadblocks, and align teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience (required).
