What you will do:

 

  • Develop content ideas and experiences that help bolster Sportsnet’s different platforms. Help develop new ways to showcase our main properties such as NHL, Toronto Raptors and Blue Jays.

  • Ideate, execute, and deliver digital-first original content executions with a focus on custom delivery for digital/social platforms (YouTube & Sportsnet’s social media platforms).

  • Create, produce, and edit original content using such content creation tools as Adobe Premiere, After Effects and Photoshop.

  • Utilize “live” content studio tools such as Wirecast and OBS to produce live executions on Sportsnet YouTube channel and social platforms.

  • Collaborate with Social Strategy team to create original content that resonates across our digital platforms.

  • Continuously “push the envelope” in the creation of content ideas and executions that can be monetized  

  • Work directly with editors both internal and external, when necessary, to produce content

  • Contribute to creative brainstorms for new original and branded content opportunities.

  • Work with RSM Innovation team to create new, engaging content experiences for our Sportsnet audience and followers.

  • Aptitude to develop a big idea but know how that translates to lots of ‘big little ideas’ to address a brand’s challenges in a way that is entertaining, relevant and compelling. 

  • Ability to integrate existing as well as emerging digital trends and tools to enhance content.

  • An embrace for change while generating fresh and creative perspectives with an ability to multi-task.

  • Acting in a truthful manner while valuing direct and honest communication with all levels of the organization.

  • An ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, multi-faceted environment with minimal supervision and keen attention to detail.

  • Live television or stage experience is a benefit, offering a strong, effective on-air presence.

  • Control room and field production experience an asset.

  • Scheduling flexibility to work nights/weekends/overtime as well as some travel, when necessary.
