In this role, you’ll lead a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, researchers, and data scientists, in the execution of our next generation audio strategy. Leveraging our long pedigree of creating communities for sports fans, you will deliver beautiful, thoughtful user experiences in the social audio space. We believe that real-time engagement and the listening experience for sports can be taken to another level and we’re looking for a product visionary to help us get there.
What you will do…

  • Own and define the product strategy and roadmap for the Sportsnet social audio and real-time engagement digital experiences.
  • In concert with business, content strategy, programing, and talent partners, develop new fan communities and engagement models, remove roadblocks, and deliver product that makes a measurable impact.
  • Maintain a validated product backlog balancing user need, business value and technical complexity to facilitate trade-offs, build consensus and focus the team.
  • Obsess over understanding and validating user needs and building intuitive user experiences that help increase core user and business metrics. 
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop hypotheses and perform product validation exercises such as user research, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, MVP definition, etc. 
  • Continuously gain working knowledge of cutting-edge technologies and how to utilize them to deliver benefits to our customers and the overall business.   
  • Work closely with project managers and developers to participate in agile ceremonies: daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint planning, sprint retrospectives, product demos and release planning.
