Product Manager - IoT Connectivity

We’re looking for a Product Manager – IoT Connectivity and Platforms, who will be accountable for driving our IoT connectivity strategy and roadmap. This critical role will require an individual who has deep understanding of customer needs, network technologies, IoT platforms and connectivity solutions.

 

What you will be doing:

  • IoT Connectivity Strategy and Roadmap:
    • Responsible for evolving and enhancing the IoT connectivity strategy and roadmap
    • Specify market requirements for connectivity products by staying up to date with IoT technology advancements, customer requirements, competitive landscape and regulatory changes
    • Manage end-to-end product lifecycle including development, GTM launch, support, and sunset activities
    • Take on ad-hoc requests when requested by management
  • Network Technology and Platforms:
    • Execute on the connectivity roadmap including enablement of network technologies, key connectivity capabilities, value-added services and IoT platforms.
    • Responsible for defining the customer needs, building business cases, securing funding and working collaboratively with cross functional teams including product development, commercial, marketing, operations, legal etc. to launch the product.
    • Explore partnership opportunities with 3rd party IoT providers that can enhance our existing connectivity portfolio including identifying and evaluating partners, defining commercial agreements and GTM activities leading to the launch of the partnerships
  • Marketing and Sales Support:
    • Support Marketing team on all product marketing activities including GTM, communications, blogs and customer facing marketing collateral
    • Support sales teams by providing product training, be the point person on the product, participate in customer meetings and deal support

 

  • Build, Execute and Maintain a comprehensive strategy and roadmap for IoT Connectivity portfolio
  • Manage all activities related to network rationalization programs including working closely with sales and other cross functional teams geared towards revenue and customer retention.
  • Lead the launch activities of next-generation IoT networks, new capabilities and IoT platforms
  • Continuously scan the market for industry trends and opportunities to differentiate and drive network leadership
  • Perform competitive analysis both at the domestic and global level, as well as outside the telecommunications industry
  • Build high-level execution plans including business cases, commercial plans, investments, and support required to achieve strategies and revenue targets
  • Work closely with sales and cross functional teams to bring new solutions to market
  • Equip Sales teams with the required knowledge and expertise to drive growth across the portfolio
  • Pro-actively manage and develop strong relationships within the organization
  • Deepen industry relationships and maintain industry expertise through investment in customer relationships, industry associations, and industry conferences/events
  • Take on ad-hoc high priority tasks where requested by management 

 

What you bring:

  • Experience in launching IoT connectivity products e.g. networks, features, platform partnerships
  • Product management experience in industry leading IoT Connectivity Management platforms. Familiarity with Cisco-Jasper Control Center is a plus
  • Strong customer focus and business acumen with an understanding of connectivity and network technologies such as VoLTE, E-Sim, SCEF etc.
  • Proven expertise in launching products from start to finish with ability to drive prioritization consensus across business units and serve as an effective liaison between customers and engineering
  • Experience in the development of business plans including business cases, cost/benefit analysis, revenue potential, pricing models, forecasts, and contracts
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a passion to drive profitable growth for all accountable products
  • Strong interpersonal skills -someone who thrives in a fast paced, dynamic environment and works effectively with cross functional teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Bilingualism is considered an asset
