We are looking for a sports fanatic and experienced product manager to join our Digital Products team. This role will lead and directly manage a key pillar of our product suite: the mobile app. The SN app engages Canadian sports fans on daily basis and contributes to the business both via advertising/sponsorship revenue and lead generation for Sportsnet NOW. We are looking for someone who will bring their passion, expertise, and vision to deliver the best sports app experience in Canada.
The successful candidate will have their finger on digital trends; stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, processes, approaches, and competitor offerings. While focused on sports, we expect the right person to possess a breadth of interests, and deeply understand the workings of mobile apps in multiple domains.
The Product Manager will forge strong working relationships with internal stakeholders (IT & UX, marketing, editorial, business leadership, etc.), as well as external partners. The individual will be able to balance their own expertise and experience with the inputs from all these groups, always keeping top of mind: user experience, engagement and revenue growth.

What you will do:
• Articulate and evangelize a compelling product vision and drive the delivery of a next-generation sports mobile app
• Develop the product roadmap and align key stakeholders on priorities, sequencing, delivery status and launch plans .
• Serve as the product owner in the agile development process by maintaining the product backlog, defining user stories, and ensuring delivery in every sprint
• Collaborate daily with the UX and IT development teams to clarify questions, remove roadblocks, evaluate trade-off in order to continuously deliver releasable app features.
• Be the focal point for discussions and requests related to the mobile app within the Sportsnet organization.
• Commission high impact user research using appropriate techniques.
• Perform acceptance testing on new features, fixes and updates.
• Review analytics to drive product adoption and iteration. Identify a list of performance metrics and use those insights to make data-based decisions.
• Relentlessly carry out competitive analysis and benchmarking.
• Track industry trends, new mobile OS platform features, and share best practices.
• Monitor feedback from multiple channels, and ensure issues are captured, escalated and resolved.
What you will bring:
• Digital product experience working on high-profile, high-scale consumer-facing digital products
• Experience working on iOS and Android mobile app initiatives
• Strong understanding of Agile product development
• Passionate and deeply knowledgeable fan of multiple major league sports
• Knowledge of the emerging sports betting landscape and fantasy sports
• Drive & ability to move fast and get things done in a complex, matrix organization
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; fanatical attention to detail
