Program Implementor – Quality Assessment Coordinator

Jays Care Foundation is looking for two (2) Program Implementors – Quality Assessment Coordinators to support the implementation of our Jays Care programs. Successful candidates will be required to travel across Canada, primarily in Ontario, visiting various Jays Care programs to assess quality and impact.

 

REPORTS TO: Manager, Jays Care Programs

CONTRACT DURATION: March 2025 – August 2025

WORK LOCATION: Rogers Centre | 1 Blue Jays Way Toronto, ON  

REQUIRED TRAVEL: 70%

COMPENSATION: $22/hour

Program Implementor – Quality Assessment Coordinators will:

  • Lead youth-facing programs that focus on promoting belonging and connection, is trauma sensitive, and uses variations to ensure all are included
  • Travel to Jays Care Foundation partners to assess program quality and demonstrate best-in-class, trauma informed programming
  • Support the facilitation of in-person and virtual clinics, community celebration visits, and tournaments
  • Provide ongoing program support and be an innovator – actively look for ways to improve our programs and processes and make recommendations
  • Conduct ongoing research of communities we serve with recommended action plans (i.e. identifying growing community needs and suggest how we can work to address them)
  • Assist with administration and support of core Jays Care programs like Challenger Baseball and Affiliate Schools
  • Support the execution of Jays Care Community Celebration visits by booking travel and accommodations for Jays Care staff

A great candidate will have:

  • Willingness to travel across Canada, primarily in Ontario, throughout the summer, including weekends (70% travel required)
  • Experience working with children and youth who face significant barriers to accessing sport and recreation opportunities
  • Experience playing and/or coaching baseball/softball or any other sports (whether you have little or extensive baseball/softball experience, all staff will be trained to feel comfortable and prepared for the role)
  • High level of energy and a commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive and fun environment for all participants
  • Positive attitude and the ability to motivate and keep children and youth engaged
  • Valid G class drivers’ license
  • Current Standard First Aid certification, or willing to obtain certification prior to the start of work contract
     

Experience in delivering programs for children and youth with disabilities is considered an asset
