Sportsnet is looking for a full-time Programming Coordinator who will be tasked with delivering the right content at the right time to our SN Now audience. Be it a live NHL game, rugby match or the morning catchup you will be responsible for making sure the correct content is prioritized and made readily available to our sports-hungry audience.

What you will do…

  • The Sportsnet Now Programming Coordinator role will ensure all relevant live events and video-on-demand (VOD) content is properly promoted and made available on Sportsnet Now.
  • This critical programming role will ensure all priority content is on Sportsnet Now and displayed in a compelling manner.
  • The individual will be responsible for daily, weekly and monthly planning sessions.
  • The Programming Coordinator will also continually monitor live streams and VOD content ensuring playback is working under predetermined limits.  
  • The ideal candidate understands how to prioritize in a fast paced environment and present compelling content under tight deadlines.
  • They need to be a calm voice under difficult situations should issues arise and be able to assess a situation and come up with an appropriate resolution.
  • Being at the frontline, you will often be the first to identify any potential issues. 
  • Lastly, candidates will be expected to act in a manner that is truthful while valuing direct and honest communication with all levels of the organization.  

What you will bring…

  • An ability to perform under high pressure situations, tight deadlines
  • A keen eye for details and accuracy. It’s spelled Dwyane Wade, not Dwayne. 
  • An understanding of what a Canadian sports audience would like to consume 
  • Proven editorial experience with a passion for sports, media and storytelling
  • A keen eye for detail while offering a firm belief that 99% right is still 100% wrong while offering
  • A strong sense of personal ownership and experience working in a high-performance environment
