We’re looking for a passionate and knowledgeable sports fan to join our Sportsnet team in the role of Coordinator, Non-linear Programming & Planning. In this role, the Coordinator will work with our content and programming teams to ensure that sports fans have a best-in-class experience on Sportsnet’s owned-and-operated digital channels, including the Sportsnet App, and Sportsnet Now platforms.
The successful candidate understands which sports stories matter and the urgency of breaking news. Based on real time data, they will constantly assess and provide feedback on what content is performing well and respond accordingly to optimize our non-linear platforms to bring ultimate engagement opportunities to our Canadian sports fans. This role reports to the Manager of Non-Linear Programming and Planning.
What you’ll do:

  • Curate content on Sportsnet’s owned-and-operated digital channels, ensuring the stories that matter most to sports fans are properly prioritized.
  • Manage the presentation of content on the Sportsnet App,, and Sportsnet Now platforms, to ensure the optimal user experience. This includes editing headlines and photos and managing lineups and playlists.
  • Curate video, audio, and written content from across the network, shining a spotlight on Sportsnet’s priorities.
  • Assist the Manager of Non-Liner Programming and Planning in the content planning process for tent-pole events, such as NHL Playoffs and Toronto Raptors season.
  • Communicate programming plans to key stakeholders including Sales and Marketing
  • Provide round-the-clock quality assurance, guaranteeing a best-in-class experience, troubleshoot issues and help operationalize resolutions
  • Work with Sales to ensure all obligations are met and ad-loads are optimal.
