We are looking for an energetic Project Manager to join our Wireless Project Management team. Our mandate is to ensure we consistently work as One Rogers to deliver project excellence with urgency and disciplined execution.  Our approach focuses on the quality end-to-end experience of our employees and customers, sustainable performance, value  and continuous improvement.  In addition to being able to drive simultaneous complex programs, successful candidates are able to build lasting relationships and collaborative project teams.

 

What you will do:

 

  • Manage the successful planning and execution of complex, cross-functional Wireless projects/programs to deliver on-time, within scope and on budget, in a fluid, fast-paced environment.  These projects include the introduction of new services/products, lifecycle changes of existing services, new platforms, capacity augmentations, and optimizations.

  • Based on the project requirements, identify & govern overall scope, deliverables and interdependencies to deliver on the project objectives and launch targets 

  • Expertly manage project cost estimating, budgeting and control activities to meet budgetary objectives 

  • Managing Channel readiness, including marketing, communications and call centre readiness to ensure a great customer experience and a timely product/service launch 

  • Build strong collaborative relationships with project Sponsors, Business, IT, Digital and Network stakeholders, to successfully deliver project milestones 

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation including Project Charter, Project Plan, Issue and Action Log, Risk Management Plan and Status reports to the sponsor, project team and senior management as required 

  • Proactive vendor management to deliver based on contracted goods and/or services, to meet project requirements and timelines    

  • Develop a detailed project plan to track progress and maintain accountability of all tasks, spend, dependencies and deliverables in compliance with Rogers Technology/Engineering specifications and Statements of Work 

  • Schedule regular Project status review meetings and Steering committee meetings with the sponsor, management and required project stakeholders 

  • Provide regular visibility to project status (key decisions, dependencies, issues, risks, metrics) on a standard cadence through status reporting and project reviews.

  • Proactively review the performance of projects, working with all stakeholders to mitigate issues and risks to deliver on scope, schedule and cost objectives.

  • Work creatively, collaboratively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and delivery excellence. 

 

What you will bring:

 

  • 5+ years end to end management of complex projects in medium/large organizations

  • Experience managing Channel and Business readiness activities required for product/project launch

  • Experience managing program/projects involving one or more of digital (web, app), IT and wireless network platforms

  • Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) 

  • Experience in every phase of a project including initiating, planning, execution, monitoring & controlling and closing all technical, fiscal and administrative functions of projects.

  • Experience leading agile, waterfall and hybrid projects

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification required

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and/or other Agile certification preferred

  • Advanced skills in MS Office suite, Oracle, SharePoint, Confluence, BI tools and highly proficient in MS Project & JIRA

  • Post-Secondary degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering or related technical discipline

  • Proven ability to direct cross-functional teams and act as path of escalation and resolution.

  • A highly motivated individual with strong leadership, organizational, analytical, troubleshooting and conflict resolution skills 

  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with high energy, strong executive presence, and proven ability to create effective, cross-organization relationships, collaborating and communicating across business and technology stakeholders.

  • Very strong process and problem-solving leadership skills at both strategic and functional levels.

  • Strong project financial forecasting and cost management

  • Must possess strong negotiation, influencing, stakeholder management, communication and Business writing skills, including experience communicating with Senior leadership team

  • Strategic thinker who can make decisions and plan, develop and implement innovative solutions 

  • Exceptionally strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to succeed in challenging and ambiguous situations and thrive in a fast paced and changing environment

  • Ability to work at Brampton Technology Campus and 1 Mount Pleasant office locations as required by assigned projects
