Rogers Media is seeking an enthusiastic, personable individual to oversee Promotional activity amongst its Toronto radio stations for a 12 month contract.

 

This position is located out of our Toronto office and reporting to the Director National Promotions, Radio. This position will require someone who is able to work flexible hours and will attend major station and clients’ promotional events.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Proactively strategize, develop and execute station promotions and events, sometimes outside of traditional office hours
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and team members
  • Regularly interact with Programming, Sales and other key departments
  • Deal with station listeners
  • Create promotional proposals, announcements, web content
  • Maintain station promotional calendar
  • Help maintain inventory of all promotional assets and elements
  • Attend all major station promotions and designated client promotions as required
  • Attend and participate in regular internal and occasional external meetings as required
  • Provide regular event feedback, including post-event wrap up reports
  • Oversee station social media feeds
  • Manage national AC promotions as applicable
  • Manage and oversee part time promotional staff
  • Other duties as assigned by Program/Promotion Director

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Previous Radio Promotion experience in medium to major market is a must
  • Strong knowledge of Toronto radio is a must
  • Leadership skills and experience managing a small team
  • Must be able to take initiative and flourish in a team environment
  • Self-motivated, team player with a positive attitude and a strong desire and passion to succeed
  • Ability to work well under minimal supervision in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment
  • Independent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, overnights and holidays - occasionally on short notice
  • Experience with PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Office, are essential.  Same with Photoshop, Wordpress and video editing software are all assets
  • Must hold a valid Ontario G Class driver’s license.
